K-9’s in the Spotlight

Guess what time it is!?!?

It’s Thursday which means it’s time for another installment of my Breedable Spotlight!  For those of you not familiar with what that is, well it’s where I will use my blog to shine a spotlight on some of my favorite Amaretto Breedables!

This week I am going to show you one of my longest running, and still one of my most favorite K-9 projects.  My Bloody Dogs!  For a long time now it has been my mission to take the Wicked eye and Bloody Rockstar collar from the Crimson Bloodthirsty Beagle and put in on every other K-9 coat!

So far I have quite a collection.  My favorite and what started this whole project has to be the lil tiny Chihuahua.  They look like a big tough dog when they are sporting that Wicked Eye and Blood Rockstar collar.  I imagine their bark even sounds deeper!!! I have managed to put this on quite a few other K-9s and have included some pictures below for you to see how ferocious they all look. Now I’m trying to paint their paws and give them drool, so I still have things to work towards with them, which keeps it interesting.

For those of you not familiar with the Amaretto Breedable K-9s I hope this blog and the pictures below inspire you to check them out and maybe find your own special project to breed for with them.  You can learn everything you need to know on the K-9s by following this link:

I hope you enjoyed this week’s Spotlight and I look forward to sharing one of my favorite horse projects next week!

Until then, Happy Breeding!!

Thursday’s Breedable Spotlight

Happy Thursday!  Hope everyone has been enjoying a wonderful week!

Today I wanted to start a fun new series I’m going to call “Thursday’s Breedable Spotlight”.  This is where I will use my blog to shine a spotlight on some of my favorite Amaretto Breedables!

I’m going to kick things off with one of my favorite Barnyard Birds.  I am completely obsessed with the Blue Andalusian Barnyard Bird.  Its beautiful blue coat just looks amazing with many of the Barnyard Bird eyes available.  My favorite has to be the Red Fury eye which looks awesome on all the different birds.

The Barnyard Birds aren’t just pretty to look at though they are fun to play with too!  Leave them roaming around your farm and when you bump into them they run off squawkin’ and flapping their wings, it’s pretty cool to watch them! I love roaming around collecting their eggs after they drop, luckily they land a soft nest!

If you’re not familiar with Amaretto’s Barnyard Birds, 1st of all shame on you, 2nd you should head over to the website and learn all about them!  You can learn everything you need to know on the Barnyard Bird Wiki which I have a link to below.

So, I hope you enjoyed my Spotlight on Blue Andalusian Barnyard Birds!  Hopefully the beautiful pictures below will inspire you to run out and get your own Barnyard Birds!

Until next week, Happy Breeding!!

Some Leprechaun Laughter

Thought I would give you some laughter today. With Saint Patrick’s Day coming soon, here are some awesome poems and quotes I found on the Internet

A Wee Bit about Leprechauns

Fairies fill Irish folklore. These make-believe creatures can assume various human or animal forms. They love music and may even lead humans astray with their pipe playing and singing. Irish fairies fall into two main groups: sociable and solitary. Perhaps the best known of the solitary fairies are the leprechauns.

Leprechauns have the distinction of being the most solitary of the solitaries, avoiding contact with humans, other fairies, and even other leprechauns! These two-foot tall, unfriendly, gruff men (there are no female leprechauns) prefer to pass their time making shoes for other fairies. They usually wear a green coat, a green hat, and a shoemaker’s apron.

Due to their thrifty nature, they are trusted to guard fairy treasures and hide their pots of gold very carefully. But rainbows and the sound of a shoemaker’s hammer provide humans with clues as to the whereabouts of a leprechaun and his hidden treasure.

According to legend, if you catch a leprechaun, you can force him to tell you where he hides his treasure. But there’s a “catch”: if you look away from him for even a second — and he will try to trick you into doing so — he’ll disappear, taking his treasure with him!.

Saint Patrick was a gentleman

Who through strategy and stealth

Drove all the snakes from Ireland

Here’s a drinkee to his health!

But not too many drinkees

Lest we lose ourselves and then…

Forget the good Saint Patrick

And see them snakes again!

Anyone acquainted with Ireland knows that the morning of St. Patrick’s Day consists of the night of the 17th of March flavored strongly with the morning of the 18th.

May your blessings outnumber

The shamrocks that grow,

And may trouble avoid you

Wherever you go.

~ Irish Blessing

And of course, the Unicorn Song

Unicorn

A long time ago when the Earth was green,

There was more kinds of animals then you’ve ever seen.

And they’d run around free while the world was being born.

The loveliest of all was the Unicorn!

There was green alligators and long necked geese,

Hump back camels and chimpanzees.

Cats and rats and elephants but sure a you’re born,

The loveliest of all was the Unicorn!

But the Lord seen some sinnin’ and it caused him pain.

He says, “Stand back, I’m gonna make it rain.

So hey, Brother Noah, I’ll tell you what to do.

Go and build me a floating zoo.”

“You’ll take two alligators and a couple of geese,

Two hump back camels and two chimpanzees.

Two cats, two rats, two elephants but as sure as you’re born,

Noah, don’t you forget my unicorns!”

Well, Noah looked out through the drivin’ rain,

But the unicorns was hidin’-playin’ silly games.

They were kickin’ and a-splashin’ while the rain was pourin’,

Oh them foolish unicorns.

“So you take two alligators and a couple of geese,

Two hump back camels and two chimpanzees.

Two cats, two rats, two elephants but as sure as you’re born,

Noah, don’t you forget my unicorns.”

And the the ark started movin’ and it drifted with the tide,

And the unicorns looked up from the rock and cried.

And the water came up and sort of floated them away,

That’s why you’ve never seen a unicorn to this day.

You’ll see a lot of alligators and a whole mess of geese,

You’ll see hump back camels and chimpanzees.

You’ll see cats and rats and elephants but as sure as you’re born,

You’re never gonna see no unicorn.

Thanksgiving Thoughts

happy-thanksgiving

With tomorrow being Thanksgiving day, I am sure a lot of you will be watching the parades on TV and some will be traveling to their relatives or friends house for dinner. For some, their family members are far away, but I am sure they are always in your heart and your thoughts. Some will be remembering Thanksgiving past, of family that has passed away, missed but still remembered and loved. What ever your family traditions may be, I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Day..

This is just the beginning of the Holiday Season!

here is a couple of awesome poems I found on the internet

T is for the trust the pilgrims had so many years ago

H is for the harvest the settlers learnt to grow

A is for America, the land in which we live

N is for nature and beauty which she gives

K is for kindness, gentle words, thoughtful deeds

S is for smiles, the sunshine everyone needs

G is for gratitude… our blessings big and small

I is for ideas, letting wisdom grow tall

V is for voices, singing, laughing, always caring

I is for Indians, who taught them about sharing

N is for neighbors, across the street, over the sea

G is for giving of myself to make a better me

by Judith.A. Lindberg

Giving Thanks

For the hay and the corn and the wheat that is reaped,

For the labor well done, and the barns that are heaped,

For the sun and the dew and the sweet honeycomb,

For the rose and the song and the harvest brought home —

Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving!

For the trade and the skill and the wealth in our land,

For the cunning and strength of the workingman’s hand,

For the good that our artists and poets have taught,

For the friendship that hope and affection have brought —

Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving!

For the homes that with purest affection are blest,

For the season of plenty and well-deserved rest,

For our country extending from sea unto sea;

The land that is known as the “Land of the Free” —

Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving!

Let’s go to the Races!!!

If you have never been to one of the horse races, you are missing out on some exciting fun, and if you have you know what I’m talking about. Even if you don’t race it is so much fun just to go and watch.

Well A.M.O.C is having there

Race for Fun

DATE: October 26th. 3 pm SLT

Time: starting at 3.00 pm

Location: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Gerri%20Amaretto/3/109/23

As you know, one of the goals of the AMOC race is not only to make us socialize more, but make this race itinerary… meaning, we’ve been bringing this race to other members’ sims.

Below I have listed two sets of RULES, General and Specific.

General rules:

1) Flying is not allowed

2) Jumping is not allowed

3) Using Huds different than Amaretto official one is not allowed

4) Sick horses (yellow or red written) are not allowed

5) If a horse has 2 different racing classes between speed and stamina it will race in the category corresponding to the highest class (example: an horse with speed class D and stamina class C will race with C racing class horses)

6) Any horse has to start crossing the starting line only after the “go” of the racing system, after 3 times in the same race and horse will fail the start crossing the line before the “go”, the rider will be disqualified for that race

Specific rules:

Market owner’s race

1) Market owners can race themselves or delegate 1 rider to proxy for themselves

2) The winner wins, as prize, the possibility to have next monthly race in his/her own place, if the winner, for any reason, doesn’t take the prize, it goes to the second runner-up and so on, along the ranking list

3) Once the market owner wins the AMOC market owner race, he/she won’t be able to race on their own venue. If they want to run that specific race, they need to take into account that they

Won’t be able to take the prize 2 consecutive months if he/she wins the race, in this case the prize will go to the 2nd runner-up

So Ladies and Gentlemen that are sim owners… take a chance to get all that traffic to your sim, and enter it! Those that already have entered, can enter again, of course, the only time you cannot enter is 2 consecutive times, aka if you won last month, you cannot enter the sim owners heat for this month, but the next month of course you’re more than welcome to join that heat again.

Everyone that will enter the race will receive like just last time an AMOC Certificate of Participation! Also there are ribbons for the 1, 2 and 3rd place at each heat.

So mark this on your calendars, you don’t want to miss this race!!!!

Get to snapping!

Hey guys! Its Tuesday again and you know what that means I get to talk to all my favorite breeder friends!

I was contemplating on what I could discuss with everyone today and I came up with a great idea! I hope all of you guys will think so as well.

So here goes nothing! I decided to start the Amaretto Photo of the week!
I know a lot breeders like to take cute photos of their breedables, so I thought why not start a Amaretto Photo of the week!

I have placed Cameras at all the main store locations! To enter please create a note card with your name and a brief explanation of the picture, be sure to also include your photo or texture on the note card. You can not drop just a texture it must be a note card including the photo or texture full perms.

Drop

Each Wednesday starting August 21st I will choose one photo as the winner and it will be the Amaretto Photo of the week!

If your photo is chosen it will be displayed on the billboard at the main horse location as well as on the scrolling pictures on our website!

Rules:
Pictures must have at least one of Amaretto’s Breedables in the photograph
No Nudity
You may edit or add text to your photo (no profanity)
Basically guys if you wouldn’t want your kids to see it don’t enter it!
So get to snapping! I can wait to see our first Amaretto Pic of the Week!

This is Ava over and out! Happy Breeding everyone!

Today I want to talk about why it is important to send your breedables in to us in folders with your name and ticket number on the folder when you need to have them repaired.

First check out your own inventory, look in the objects category. I’m sure you have some items there. If you drop an item to someone, this is where the item usually goes.so when we log on and look in that folder we see that obviously someone has sent us something, we are not sure what or why so then we get a surprise that usually ends up in causing us confusion.

. Now think about all the breedables that get sent to me and the other CSR’s everyday. If they are not sent in the folders like we requested, they may end up lost and in the trash., because without a folder labeled with your name and ticket number, we will have no way of know who the items belong to.So the two most important items to put on the folder is your ticket number and your SL name.

.

Now creating a folder is easy

1. right click (or command click if your using a mac) in either the My Inventory folder or another folder (like the Objects folder)

2. click New Folder then under the folder you clicked on, a New Folder will be created and ready to rename with your name and ticket number.

3. Right click on the folder and select Rename, now rename the folder with your ticket number and your SL name.

4. Once you are done changing the name it will fall in order with the other folders and be ready to add your inventory to it.

5.. After you have placed the horses / K-9s/ barnyard birds, bundles / kennels / nests and any additional information you can add for the ticket pull our name up in search and drag the folder over to us and we will get it (even if we are off-line!) and we will respond in your ticket if more information is needed or if no info is needed you will have your fixed breedable sent back in the folder that will say Amaretto Breedables from CSR NAME -REPAIRED

You do NOT need to send a note card separately or an instant message to the CSR. If you do instant message a CSR have your ticket ID on hand, we talk to so many people when you randomly message we have no idea who you are.

Below are the ticket guidelines

• ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND YOUR TICKET WILL BE CLOSED WITH POSSIBLE LOSS OF SUPPORT PRIVILEGES.

• PLEASE put both your full SL First name and Last name (if you do not have a last name put resident) in the ticket do NOT use display names

•All communication MUST be in the ticket. CSRs will not respond to in world IMs or Note cards! To ensure your ticket is resolved as quick as possible, Please keep ALL responses/communications in your ticket.

•Tickets may take 48-72 hours to get a response from the support team, please have patience.

•Do not respond to the emails, we do not get those, you must respond inside the ticket itself for us to see the response.

•No response to tickets from the user in 3 days and the ticket will be closed.

•Do not wait to be contacted inworld regarding your ticket. Please log in and check for responses to your tickets.

•Please do not file multiple tickets for the same issue, it only slows things down and the duplicate tickets will be closed.

•Refrain from refreshing your page on the ticket system, it will duplicate your tickets

•You must be the owner of the horse/bundle, K-9/kennel and Barnyard Bird/Nest to file a ticket. Please do not file tickets for others.

•Please include any pertinent information regarding your ticket/issue this will help expedite your ticket through faster.

•BE SURE TO GIVE AS MUCH INFORMATION ABOUT THE BUNDLE/HORSE KENNEL/K-9/BARNYARD BIRD/NEST AS POSSIBLE AS THIS WILL HELP SPEED THINGS UP

Summer Time Fun!!!!

Well it is the middle of Summer and the heat index is high and nothing feels any better on a hot day than a dip in the pool or a swim in the lake, river, bay, ocean or sea, depending on where you live… If your on a beach you get the sounds of the waves and the tropical scent of tanning oils and sun screen in the air, seagulls flying by and squawking, lots of laughter can be heard, and this can bring a smile to anyones face. So seeing this is SL, and we can control the heat index here, this month Avalon and I decided to do a beach party event. So get those bathing suits on and lets have a great time together!!!Lots of cool music to dance to, a beautiful pool with floats in it, a nice sandy beach too, so gather up all your friends, come join us for a great time, and cool off and relax in the water… This event is Thursday July 25th at 3:00 pm (slt) and here are some pictures below of the pool and beach.
