Happy Friday Everyone!! Hope everyone is having a good breeding day!!

Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Kenai Runningbear! I am sure many of you have seen him in the group he is in the group a lot so say a hello to him when you see him. He is always helping out breeders that need help or showing off one of his amazing horses.

Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?
I was born and raised on the East Coast. After seeing Second life while watching an episode of CSI New York I decided to try it out. Shortly after starting in Second life I met the woman I will soon call my wife. We became really good friends then almost 7 years ago we were talking and decided that we should meet outside of Second life. Once we met we realized we were a perfect match. We soon had our first child together and have since had our second child together. Since starting Second life I have had many ventures to include breedable auctioneer and auction house owner.

Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?
Amaretto Horses soon to add Dogs and Barnyard Birds.
How did you get started in breedables?
I started breeding bunnies but quickly got tired of them because there wasn’t much I could do with them except feed them. A friend had shown me a horse that she had gotten and said that Amaretto had a cool Breedable horse that you could ride. I went to the Amaretto Store bought some Starters and have been breeding horses ever since. My soon to be wife and I have been fortunate enough to have been with Amaretto since shortly after they started. We have seen first-hand the many changes that have improved the horses to make them what they are today.

Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?
No. After being with Amaretto for so long and after trying other breedables on the market I don’t get the enjoyment I do from breeding the Amaretto Horses.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?
Confection Horses and trying to make a 24 trait Anniversary Coat and of course the monthly Crazed Coats

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9’s?
Sadly not breeding any dogs at the moment trying to get my horses breeding where I wish them to be then I look forward to breeding dogs and Barnyard Birds.

What is your favorite Amaretto Breedable?
Amaretto Horses of course.

What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?
My Horses take up a lot of my time but I do like to build when I get a moment

A big thank you to Kenai for taking the time to answer my questions! I have added some pictures of Kenai’s special horses.

Until next week Happy Breeding!

Spotlight on Amaretto Moderators…. Petr Vanbeeck

Happy Thursday!  Today’s Spotlight is another installment of my series of blogs dedicated to our wonderful Amaretto group moderators.  This week is all about the moderator we depend on to bring a little testosterone and a whole lot of handsome to the Amaretto groups.

Petr Vanbeeck is the fabulous moderator I am happy to Spotlight.  Petr is a great asset in the groups, watching and helping even while he is actually at work in the real world.  Petr seems to always be watching and doing his best to help any and all that need it.  Here are Petr’s answers to my questions!!

*Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?

I live in rural Maine.  I am single.  I work full time at a major cancer research facility.  I also am primary care taker for my mother.

*Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?

I currently have Horses and K9s.  I periodically have birds, usually when there is a cute CE come out.  I am a sucker for LEs, SEs and CEs.

*How long have you been involved with Amaretto Breedables?

I have been involved with Amaretto since almost the beginning.  I think I got my first starter pack about the middle of October after the Sept 1 Launch in 2010.

*How did you get started in breedables?

Friends were talking about them.  They looked like fun.

*Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?

Yes.  I have had bunnies, meeroos and breedable pot.

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?

Confection horses – GIMME GIMME.  I have a large breeding unit of them.  I bought a female at an auction – paired her with my spun sugar male and first bundle I got Lemon Meringue Pie Eye.  I am hooked on them.  I am also working on getting roached mane and pinned tail on my Belgians.  Belgians are work horses and in RL wouldn’t have LL hairs to get in the way.

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9s?

I am breeding the holiday SEs and my siblings set that are highly null traited.  I am also trying for the crazed dog.

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Birds?

Currently don’t have any birds.

*What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?

We like to sail and fly.  We have a home with direct access to the Blake Sea.  If we are not out sailing or roaring around in the powerboat we can be found up in the the Calypso seaplane.  I also have my own clothing store that I am getting back to after neglecting it for some time.

*What is it that you enjoy most about being an Amaretto Group Moderator?

Helping.  I like talking.  Breedables can be confusing and I like helping folks learn about them.

Well there you have it …. Petr is a great guy!  Be sure to say hello to him when you see him in the groups and let him know you enjoyed reading about him in the Spotlight!  Just a reminder to our Amaretto Community, the Amaretto Group Moderators are not privy to any inside Amaretto information, nor are they told things in advance. They are here to help out in our groups and lend a hand when they can.  The moderators have been around a long time and have many suggestions to help when you have issues but if all else fails please file a ticket on our support system and a CSR or a member of Amaretto Staff will assist you!

Below are pictures of Petr’s breeding areas and his handsome selfie!  Until next time happy breeding!!

Amaretto Security!

Hello everyone! I wanted to take some time and talk to everyone about something you may have seen but hopefully haven’t!

With version 5.0 we implemented many security features. New changes implemented in the food and consumables include when you purchase a product you are given a count.

For example when purchasing a 6 pack of Amaretto Brand Breedable Food, your are given 6 counts, When you set out a food the count is taken away.

What does it mean? Well to be frank we can tell what products you have or haven’t rezzed, how much of each product have been used or not used.

This is what solves the issue of cheating in world, even if you could duplicate or copy bot a product you can not add a count to our servers so it would make the copy useless.

Another thing I want to mention is people who try to tamper with our products, this is not a good idea. We have placed a warning system that will notify the owners, scripters, and mangers of Amaretto when someone does something with our products scripts that they should not.

You will see the following in world:
This incident has been reported! Thank you for breaking Amaretto’s TOS!

We will see a message like this:
An unauthorized user has acquired a non-initialized Consumable.
Owner’s name is Avalon Crystal
The Owner’s key is 0308d115-fd8f-4db4-844c-80ffb3dc5de5
The location is at A Secondlife Sim (186,149,21)

When we receive this message you better believe we will be visiting you in world shortly. I know that these things may seem a little harsh but we will go to very extreme lengths to protect our products, our community, and our breeders!

Anyone we find tampering with our products or trying to exploit the system will banned from Amaretto products, groups, and sims.

Please be aware of the TOS agreement that is in every Amaretto product sold and listed on the wiki.

Remember this will most likely not effect you because you are not going to be doing things with Amaretto products that you should not.

This Weeks Amaretto Breeder Interview

Happy Friday Everyone! Hope everyone is having a good breeding day.
This week I have chosen Molly Lundquist to interview everyone in the group knows Molly as she is very helpful to all the breeders in the Amaretto Main Group. Thank you Molly for letting me interview you this week.

Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?
I live in New Hampshire, and I read an article about Second Life and decided to see what it was all about. That was almost 8 years ago! I’m still here! LOL

Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?
I own just horses now, but I did breed the K9s for a short time.

How did you get started in breedables?
My friend Darling invited me to see her horses, she showed me how they could be ridden, and then she proceeded to give me about 6 horses. After the first few bundles I was hooked!

Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?
I bred Meeroos for a while, but decided I liked the horses a lot more because of the interaction.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?
I have a few sib sets breeding, with the hopes of getting an Albino. I also have a “White Project” and a “Black Project”

What is your favorite Amaretto Breedable?
It’s a horse, of course, but if I have to pick just one…
I was speechless for a while when I clicked the stats for that bundle. (I know. It’s hard to believe me being speechless)
Coat: Charmed Rainbow Zebra White
Eye: Rainbow Zebra
Mane: Long
Tail: Long
Coat Gleam High
Hair Gleam High
Ankh Branding
Socks Pink
Bridle Pink
Speed Class A
Stamina Class A
What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?

I have included some pictures of Molly’s favorite horses.

Until next week Happy Breeding!!

Spotlight on Amaretto Moderators….Lisabella Lane

Happy Thursday! Today’s Spotlight is the 3rd installment of my blog dedicated to the wonderful Amaretto group moderators.  This week the lucky moderator in the Spotlight is another one that switches seamlessly between our Multi-language group and the main Amaretto group.

Lisabella Lane is the wonderful moderator I am happy to Spotlight.  Watching Lisa chat and help our Community with any questions or concerns they have while she herself learns new English words she’s never heard makes me smile all the time.  I confess I have taught her a few English sayings that she probably didn’t need to learn but it’s still hilarious to watch her use them!  Lisa I don’t know what we would do without you either!! Here are the answers Lisa gave to my questions!

*Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?

My friends call me Lisa and I’m a member of Anonymous Amaretto Addicts (the AAAs). No, back to serious answers: I’m from Germany and one day I just thought, I should see, what SL is. I was just curious. My SL experience started with role play.

*Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?

I’m breeding horses, horses and more horses. I have my dogs in kennels at the moment – because I put focus on horses. And then there is Dakota – she is age over 700, an Amaretto Special Edition K-9- Devotion Dalmatian, the guard dog at my land.

*How did you get started in breedables?

My first horse was a gift from a friend. That was soon after Amaretto started the horses. And from that friend I got a Black Arabian – Black Arabians were my first big love in Amaretto Breeding. They finally made me a horse addict 😉

*Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?

I tried the Mossms, when they were new. And also earlier the Meeroos. But stopped both and concentrated on Amaretto

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?

You don’t really want to know the complete list 😉  There is a gold/yellow project based on the new wings and horns on Molten Roan Gold, a silver/purple project, there are my Rainbows, Zodiac horse, Confection horse and Elemental horse breeding. I love to do All WHITEs, Oranges, Greens, Blues, Reds, Yellows and Purples. Then there is a group of Candy and one for Snowflake. And I like the following that are my own creation: the Flor de Pascua/Poinsettia horse – based on Black Coat with red and green traits, like the Poinsettia flower colors.

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9s?

My last project were the Rainbow Dawilds

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Birds?

No project at the moment

*What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?

Most of my time I spend chatting – in chat or with friends. And strolling over horse markets – what most AAAs do 😉

*What is it that you enjoy most about being an Amaretto Group Moderator?

It is the close contact with breeders’ community, and I learn something new every day – in breeding and also in language.

Hopefully you all learned a little more about the super sweet Lisabella!  Be sure to say hello when you see her in the groups.
