Tips & Tricks

Happy Thursday everyone!  Hope you’re all having a great breeding week!  Lately I’ve noticed a lot of people in the group having issues getting their horses to breed.  All the stats are the way they should be and it appears they are ready to do the deed yet you wait and wait and nothing happens.  I thought I would share with you today some of my tips for getting them to breed.

First put on some Barry White, laughs although I’ve heard tales that the horses are big fans I’m only teasing.

  1.  First thing I always do is check all the stats.  More times than I care to tell you I’ve tried to mate 2 females or 2 males together.  So be sure they are 1 of each gender and then check all their stats make sure they’re set to the right group, make sure they are the same version, see what their range is and double check that they are really 100% fervor.  Happiness or energy doesn’t matter after they reach 100% fervor as long as they are awake.
  2. Now you’ve checked all that and everything looks good.  If they are paired go ahead and move them away from all your other horses to a private spot where they can be alone and then break the pairing on both of them.
  3. Once the pairing is broke I usually let them sit there together for a few minutes and see if they breed.  If they still don’t want to do the deed then I will turn their movement on let them walk around.
  4. You can pass them to a trusted friend and have them try to get them to breed if they still aren’t cooperating.  I’ve also found that sometimes they just want a change of scenery and taking them to a new sim will help move things along.
  5. Sometimes they want some privacy and I have to leave my sim and give them some time alone and then they work things out and finally breed.

Hopefully these easy tips will help if you have some stubborn horses refusing to breed with one another.

Until next week, Happy Breeding everyone!
