Spotlight on Amaretto Magic…. Part 1

Happy Thursday!  I am very excited about this week’s Spotlight as I’m going to infuse it with a little Amaretto magic!!!!!!

Many of you will remember from school learning to use the color wheel.  Yellow and blue make green, yellow and red make orange, blue and red make purple.  Well this week I’m going to show you how you can create new colors using the hues and traits in Amaretto horses!

As many of you already know and some of you are just discovering you can create a little bit of Amaretto magic by mixing the different combinations of hues and traits to come up with new and exciting colors. For this week’s magic demonstration I am going to show you some of the beautiful results you can achieve by mixing the Teal hue with different traits.

I challenge you all to pull out your own color wheel and put your thinking caps on and come up with a fabulous new color combination using the existing hues and traits!  If you have a special project you’re working on using a mixture of hues and traits to come up with a whole new color please let me know so I can share it with the community in another edition of Amaretto Spotlight on Magic.

Special thanks to Pam Nikitin, Eve Greymoon and Lisabella Lane for allowing me to photograph their beautiful horses for this Spotlight!  Great horses ladies!

The beauty in this picture below is a “Quad Green”. She is a Black Walker, Peridot HeartShine eye, Long, Long, Coat Gleam High, Coat Hue Teal, Hair Hue Teal, Ankh Branding with Green Socks and a Green Bridle.  What a lovely difference the teal makes!
