Happy National Pig in a Blanket Day??

Today is a strange day where we are suppose to celebrate pigs in blankets??? But how does that even related to Amaretto? Well, let’s face it everything relates to Amaretto in some way (or we can make it fit).

So today, we are going to look at the fantastic, Paradise Puppy – Hot Dog!!!

The coat of the Paradise Puppy – Hot Dog does not have the ability to pass (although there are a couple out there that accidently did pass). However, the eye and the collar does.

When you breed a Paradise Puppy (whether it is with another Paradise Puppy or any other K-9) you DO have an increased chance at receiving a random Enchanted K-9. But remember the non-enchanted off-spring of the Paradise Puppy does NOT give any increased chance of getting an enchanted puppy.

Now I know you want one of these so where can you get them? At any Amaretto K-9 store of course from the Paradise Vendor for 250,000 Kennel Cash.

Get out there today and start breeding this yummy puppy and see what you can get.

Grey!!!

Duck Quacks..er Facts

In October of 2018, Amaretto released the all new Barnyard Ducks! Sooo much cuteness, with little quackers running everywhere. Many breeders created ponds on their land because guess what? Your Amaretto ducks can swim! If you have access to Linden water, you can turn on movement and animations, set them down in it and they will swim back and forth. Sorry, it doesn’t work in prim water. They will walk under water in that case, as long as they can hold their breath.

Another good bit of info is Amaretto Ducks can use some of the Amaretto chicken products. That’s right, they can use the flu shots, poultry glow, potency seeds, and vivacity corn, and even the Beloved Bird! The food for Ducks is either Duck Diet for breeders, which also requires lettuce to make them happy, or duck Pet Pellets for non breeders.

Ducks also use the same incubator as chickens. It’s the 3.0/1.1 version available free at the bird food stores. And thanks to the last bird update, it no longer takes an hour to hatch the nests, only a few minutes.

Ducks are also like the chickens in that one food lasts one bird 4 weeks, 2 birds 2 weeks and so on. Their hardiness should also be at or near 100%. You can breed one drake to one hen, then they both go into recovery. Like the horses, dogs and chickens, ducks can be fed well on amaretto food if they get sick. They do not retire until they have run out of cycles for breeding.

Here is the duck wiki so you can check out all the great breeds and traits on these funny Amaretto birds.

The first two starter ducks are real breeds, as are many of the Amaretto Ducks. Like the Chickens, they come in many varieties and colors. Doesn’t the texture crew do an awesome job? Bok Bok and Happy Breeding.

O dia do Índio

Can’t you read it? I’ll give you a little help. That means the Day of the Indigenous Peoples in Portuguese. It’s a traditional celebration day in Brazil on April 19th. And it’s an important day we celebrate that we are the result of a mix of different ethnicities.

Brazilian native people are descendants of 3 main branches: the Tupis, the Guaranis, and the Tapuias, but there are tenths of minor groups. And the offspring of Portuguese pioneers and indigenous princesses populated Brazilian inner lands. That was even before the slavery workforce in plantations.

Since younglings, we learn to celebrate our mixing origin in schools. It’s a powerful weapon against racism and prejudice. You can’t depict something you’re proud to be. Amaretto also celebrates the American native people with different themed releases shown in the pictures of this post.

Other Latin American countries also have their version of this celebration day. That’s a little fact about my origins I’d like to share with you all.

PEACH BUZZ ~WILD HAIR~

Dear Breeders pull up a chair, prop your feet up and let your hair down! Today we are going to talk about WILD HAIR!

As any designer of Amaretto horses will tell you the Wild Hair you put on your pretty little babies is the pièce de résistance!

I interviewed Ava, Manager of Amaretto, and got some facts on wild hair:

Ava, what is wild hair? “Wild hair is hair that is on any horse that has a regular mane and tail sculpt.”

Ava, why is there no wild hair found on the wiki? “There is no Wild Hair section on the Wiki because all you have to do is look up the horse to show you what the wild hair looks like.”

Ava, how do I know if a wild hair is new? “Well Maggie, the great thing about Amaretto is we have an amazing group of breeders who are involved in the Amaretto community. So, if you suspect you have a new wild hair that dropped all you have to do is post the stats of the horse in the Amaretto Ranch breedable group and ask if anyone has seen it before.”

Ava, how do we get wild hair? “Wild hair can come from any starter horse, new limited editions, and new haven horses.”

Ava, if we get a wild hair, does it pass? “Yes!”

Hubba, Hubba, Ding Ding!!!! So with our new 7.0 starter horses and the brand new Haven horse, we could be seeing…..New……. Wild Hair! You make my heart sing! You make everything groovy! You Move Me!

Dear Breeders, if you are a connoisseur of wild hair this is indeed exciting news! I for one cannot wait to hear from all of you when you discover a new wild hair!

This concludes Peach Buzz that informs you of the hottest trends in Amaretto!

National Amaretto Day!!

Alright, so technically today is National Amaretto Day meaning the liqueur known around the world for its flavor and aroma. But today we will recognize the Amaretto we all know and love! 🙂

Amaretto Ranch Breedables, LLC was established in September of 2010 by Josaphine Cooperstone with the release of Amaretto Horses into Second Life.

So in honor of this let’s take a look at some of the amazing birthday animals that have been released to honor the formation of the company. The animals would all drop on September 1st each year. We will start with the foundation of it all, the horses.

Horses

For the horses, the first through fifth year’s coats did not pass so you would have to be lucky enough to have breed for one on September 1st of that year but from the sixth birthday on the coats did pass so you would have an easier time in find those.

K9s

In August of 2011, Amaretto Breedables K-9s joined in on the fun.

Barnyard Birds

In May of 2012, the Amaretto Barnyard Birds joined Amaretto.

Ponie Pals

In June 2017 the adorable Ponie Pals made their way onto the growing ranch.

Barnyard Ducks

And finally in October 2018, the Ducks were set free.

So remember to celebrate everything you love about breeding Amaretto products today!!!

Something’s you need to know about the updater:

IF THE BULK UPDATER DOESN’T UPDATE ALL YOUR HORSES, RE-REZ THE HORSE AND TRY IT AGAIN, YOU MAY ALSO USE THE SINGLE UPDATER FOR HORSES THE BULK UPDATER DOES NOT UPDATE

  1. It will not work if there is more than one updater out. It gives you a message that there are 2 updaters out please remove one. If you continue to try and update your horse it will give you another error message and have you pick one updater up and reset the other. (Touch and wait 5 seconds to reset)
  2. It will not update pregnant horses. The reason being the updater can potentially abort the pregnancy. Waiting to update your pregnant horses will not affect the horse’s functions, they will continue to eat, move, animate etc. When they give birth to the bundle, then you can update them. The bundle will be the old version and need to be updated when birthed.
  3. The updater will not work on sims with a high load. Dilation needs to be above .65 and region fps must be above 25 for the updater to work. You will get an error message that says the sim dilation is too low, we have enclosed a sim monitor that will display these values for you. Just rez on your sim next to the updater. Update Instructions:

**Single Updater:
Place the updater near the horse that isn’t updated and click the horse and click the update button. The horse will be updated and the settings will be the same as before the update process. DO NOT PICK UP HORSES OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS

**Bulk Updater:
Place the bulk updater in the middle of your horse breeding area, click the updater and adjust the settings you want your horses to be set to after the update process, then click the update horse’s button on the updater menu. This updater has the ability to update all horses that are not v7.0 in an entire region. However, depending on sim performance it may only do the horses in a 96 meter radius. Do not remove the updater until it has completed updating all horses and the hover text above the updater reads FINISHED. DO NOT PICK UP HORSES OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS

**Bundle Updater:
Something’s you need to know about the updater:

  1. You can update up to 15 bundles at one time
  2. The bundles have to be in range of the updater (10m radius)
  3. Bundles must have “SUCCESSFULL_BUNDLE” in the UUID to be updated
  4. There is an option to turn on/off range indicator on the updater (must have particles enabled on your sl viewer)
  5. Can only update a bundle once and will only update 2.4 and higher bundles

Updater instructions:

Rez the updater out and select “range on” from the updater menu. Place up to 15 bundles within the range area of the updater and select “update” from the menu. DO NOT PICK UP BUNDLES OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS. When the updater reads “Done” you may then pick up your updated bundles and repeat to update more bundles.

Updaters can be found at all of the Amaretto store locations:

Happy Updating everyone! This is Ava over and out!

Educate Yourself

So today we are going to talk a little about educating yourself with amaretto. As you all know there is an update coming today. I was trying to think of what I should highlight that would be eye catching since I am competing with the UPDATE. I remember my first update with amaretto and how amazing it was and how I had no idea what I was doing. First off, you don’t need to update all your bundles in one day. Also make sure when you are updating maybe put the ones updated in a new folder maybe named (name) 7.0. Depends on how you name your folder or how you sort your bundles. That way you know which ones are updated. I cannot tell you how many times I birthed horses to find out later only one was updated. Lesson learned. Another thing I learned was when picking them up in a cluster make sure it only has the bundles in the cluster or nothing else with scripts. I also made this mistake and what a mess. I had an auto feeder plate in my cluster and it was clashing. I had to make a ticket with linden lab go through weeks of this and that to get it fixed. Needless to say I had a lot to learn. Which bring me to ARU. Amaretto Ranch University Classes are held every week and notices are sent out before they are about to start. The classes are not very long and are in voice and text so very easy to follow. So with the coming update I say educate yourself. Also the groups are there to help you use them.

Happy Breeding and remember we are never promised tomorrow so be kind helpful and live each day to the fullest.

Thanks for taking the time to read
