Happy Hump Day Fellow Breeders:

As we’ve mentioned before, there are two questions that we get quite a lot and that is, “Help, my breedable isn’t eating!” or “Help, my breedable is sick!”  Range can be a common factor in both those questions. So, today, let’s talk about setting the range on your Amaretto breedables. We cannot stress enough how important range is when it comes to pretty much everything. The range is set in meters and is the radius of a circle with the home point as the center. (The radius of a circle is measured from the center to its edge). When a breedable is first birthed its default range is set to 5 meters. This means that you must have food within 5 meters in order for them to eat. When they are old enough to breed, the mate you want them to breed with must, also, be within 5 meters of them.

So you see the range you set is important for a few reasons.

If you have a lot of breedables, or even just a few, using a GPS can make things a lot easier. With these wonderful devices (one for each breedable), you can set all the stats at once; range, animation, movement, and sounds, all of it!  Just remember, if you have special projects going and need ranges set to a different amount on certain breedables, you will have to manually do this as the GPS will change the range on the whole sim. You can get the GPS absolutely free at any of the Amaretto food stores.

If you find that the range is not the issue, then try the following tricks before filing a ticket.

1. Re-rez (usually fixes 99% of the issues).
2. If the land is set to a group, are the breedables and food set to that group?
3. If the land isn’t set to a group, are the breedables and food set to the same group as each other?
4. Is the breedable set to the type of food out?
5. Remember to reset home position if you edit move your breedable. It is best to re-rez them next to the food instead of editing it over.

If all else fail, file a support ticket at http://support.amarettobreedables.com/index.php

Hope you find these tips helpful in keeping your breedables fed and well!

Till next time…Happy Breeding!

Paradise Puppies!!

Happy Saturday everyone!  Did you know that Amaretto Breedables offers a reward system called Puppy Paradise. When you send your K-9 to Puppy Paradise you will receive a number of points based on the number of traits and age for a particular K-9. Once you have accumulated enough points, you can use these points to purchase an array of items from the Puppy Paradise Vendor such as Pet Food, Vaccinations and our unique K-9 Paradise Puppies.

Today I want to shine the spotlight on the Paradise Puppies!!

First let’s have a look at the K-9 Paradise Puppy Dalmatian. This puppy comes in random gender and these random coats: Black/White, Liver/White and Rainbow/White Dalmatians. Paradise Puppy Dalmatians are NOT able to pass their coats. However, these unique K-9s have the ability to pass their eyes (depending on the coat you receive).

Next let’s take a look at the Fu K-9’s

The Fu K-9 comes in random gender and these random coats: “Happiness”, “Friendship” and “Prosperity”. The Fu K-9s are NOT able to pass their coats.  However, these unique K-9s have the ability to pass their eyes (depending on the coat you receive) Purple Jade, Green Jade and Blue Jade. The Fu K-9s are NOT able to pass their collars.

Next there is the K-9 Paradise Puppy – Hot Dog comes in random gender.  Paradise Puppy – Hot Dog are NOT able to pass their coats.  However, the  Yellow & Mustard eye Does have the ability to pass and the Picnic Collar Does have the ability to pass.

When you breed a Paradise Puppy (whether it is with another Paradise Puppy or any other K-9) you DO have an increased chance at receiving a random Enchanted K-9.  The non-Enchanted offspring of Paradise Puppies do NOT have an increased chance of producing Enchanted K-9s.

Until next time this is Snookie wishing you a great weekend and a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Happy Breeding!!

Hiiiii!! Who is ready for the weekend!? I hope it is an awesome one for yall!! Today I wanted to take some time to help with two common questions I see in the Amaretto groups.  “Help my breedable isn’t eating?!” or “Help my breedable is sick!?”  There are quite a few things you can try to get your breedable eating again but remember if all else fails you can always file a ticket on the Amaretto Support site and have a CSR help you look into it.

Let me start by saying this month’s mystery sale is food! Food is mandatory in keeping your animal’s tummies full! Check it out the blog here http://amarettobreedables.com/blogs/5/172/you-don-t-want-to-miss-this-mystery-sale Now we move on to talk a little about the food for your breedables. The Ponie Pals only have 1 food type, Ponie Pal Grub. You will feed this to your ponies to keep them healthy and able to breed. The Horses, K-9s, Birds, and Ducks all have two different type foods available. Breeder Food is for Horses, K-9’s or Barnyard Birds and Ducks that you want to breed. Pet food is used when you do not wish to breed your animal.  If  you decide later that you do wish to breed them it will take 7 days of them eating Breeder food for the Pet food to wear off.

Using Food:

1. Rez the Food within your breedables set range. (A breedable’s default range is 5 meters)

2. You can click the Food to change options and see remaining %. Options include Owner only, Group only, and All.

A.  Owner only: Will only be consumed by the owners breedable.

B.  Group only: Will only be consumed by breedables in the same group as the food/water is set to.

C.  All: Any breedable within range of the food/water will be able to consume it.

Once the Food has been completely consumed it will disappear.

In case your breedable gets hungry try these tips:

1. Re-rez fixes 99% of the issues.

2. If the land is set to a group, are the breedables and food set to that group? Some sims have it set that no scripts can run unless they are set to the right group as the land.

3. If the land isn’t set to a group, then check that the breedables and food are set to the same group as each other. So often the food is in one group and the breedable in another. The food is set to feed only those in the same group and before you know it you have sick breedables

4. For the horses, k-9s and birds, check to see if the breedable is set to the type of food out (You can check this in their More Stats)

5. Re-set home position.

If your Breedable still doesn’t eat after trying this, you will need to file a support ticket. Please include a location URL, so that we can come out and see them, in world. Please make sure that we have permission to come on the land.

Remember if you put a Breedable in your inventory it will get hungry.

For the horses, k-9s, birds and ducks, they will eat once every hour. If food is not present their hunger and thirst will rise until it reaches 100% (or in the case of the Barnyard Birds/Ducks until it reaches 0%) at which time they will get sick, this will take 3 days

For the ponies, they will eat once every 96 minutes. If food (Grub) is not present their Grub will rise until it reaches 100% at which time they will get sick. This can take 5 days.

A Healing Kit for horses, Vaccination for K-9s, Flu Shot for Birds and Ducks, and Ponie Noodle Soup for Ponies can be used to heal your breedable.

The horses, k-9s and birds, will eat their way out of sickness. Horses and K-9s take approximately 3 days and Barnyard Birds take 4 days.

To use a Healing kit, Vaccination, Flu shot or Noodle Soup, simply rez the item nearby your sick breedable. Click your breedable select consumables and select Healing kit, Vaccination, Flu shot or Noodle Soup. Before your eyes your Breedable will go from sick back to perfect health.

So there you have it all you need to know if your breedable starts to become sick.

Happy Breeding & Feeding!!

Until next time….

The K-9 HUD Revisited!

Hello Amaretto Community! Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Today I wanted to take a moment to share with you a feature for the K-9 that is often an over-looked feature that is so much fun! I am talking about the K-9 HUD! Take a look below where I tell you about this nifty little HUD. While the K-9 is attached to the HUD they receive a boost in Happiness. This is an incremental increase that will rise as long as the K-9 stays attached to the HUD.

To get a K-9 HUD you can click on any of your Amaretto K-9s and that will bring up the main menu. On the menu you will see Help.

When you click help that you will get another menu that has a button on it labeled hud.

By clicking the hud button you will receive a K-9 hud sent directly to the objects folder in your inventory.

Go to objects folder and find the hud, right click it and go to wear. It will attach to the upper left hand side of your screen. You can adjust this if you wish.

To connect your K-9 to the hud, click the K-9 and then click the hud button on the menu then click the connect button on your HUD.

Make sure your K-9s movement is set to physical before connecting to the hud.

Operation of the HUD

While the K-9 is attached to the HUD they receive a boost in Happiness. This is an incremental increase that will rise as long as the K-9 stays attached to the HUD. The buttons on the HUD are as follows:

  • Connect – This button lets you chose what K-9 you want to interact with
  • Disconnect – This button disconnects the current K-9 from the HUD
  • Follow – the K-9 will follow your avatar
  • Come – The K-9 will walk to your avatar and then sit near you
  • Stay – This will cause the K-9 to sit and stay in its current location
  • Get Ball – This button will send a ball to your objects folder for use with the Fetch button
  • Fetch – This button needs to be activated before you can throw the ball and have your K-9 go get it for you.
  • GPS  – This button can be used to set your K-9s settings

The HUD also displays valuable information such as:

  • Which K-9 is connected to the HUD
  • Which feature of the HUD is currently in use, Fetch, Come, Stay, and Follow.

Using the K-9 HUD:

  • Wear the HUD – It will attach to your screen in the upper left corner
  • Touch the K-9 you want to interact with and chose HUD from the Blue Menu
  • Touch the Connect button on the HUD – It will confirm in local which K-9 is connected to the HUD
  • Now you can choose to have your K-9 do one of the activities listed on the HUD

Come, Stay, Follow

To play Fetch with the K-9 using the HUD

  • Click the Get Ball button – This will send a ball to your objects
  • Wear the Ball – it will attach to your hand
  • Click Ball to set range for the distance at which the ball will be thrown. You can chose from 20, 40, 60, or 100 meters.
  • Click the Fetch button on your HUD
  • You will see the mouse look button at the bottom of your screen click that to go into mouse look
  • Aim where you want to throw the ball and left click your mouse to throw the ball
  • Your K-9 will run and retrieve the ball and bring it back to you as you will see it back in your hand and you can throw it again and again while your K-9 retrieves it for you.

Once you are done interacting with your K-9 via the HUD or you want to play with a different K-9 click the Disconnect button. This will disconnect your K-9 from the HUD and reset Home position where the K-9 is located at the time it disconnects. Remember to move your K-9 back within range of it’s kibble and water and reset it’s home position.

So, give the K-9 HUD a try and see how much fun it can be to interact with your K-9!

I hope you all have an amazing week! Happy breeding!

Zodiac K-9 Recap!

Hi everyone,

I absolutely love the Zodiac K-9s that have been released over the last 9-10 months and wanted to do a recap on all of them that have been released so far (not including this months drop).
These Zodiac K-9s have dropped for a limited time – 1 month after the other each month since March 2017. There have been various mixtures of combinations of zodiac eyes and coat and zodiac collar and coat to have a chance at getting these beauties.

Here is a wiki links to all the coats that have dropped so far!
http://wiki2.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Aries_Great_Dane
http://wiki2.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Taurus_Yorkie
http://wiki2.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Gemini_Boxer
http://wiki2.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Cancer_Husky
http://wiki2.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Leo_Beagle

http://wiki2.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Scorpio_Pug
http://wiki2.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Sagittarius_Jack_Russell

The ones listed above were only available for 1 month each (check the wiki links for more information) so you can no longer have these dropped randomly from the combinations, so if you want any of those listed above you would need to visit marketplaces and try to find ones for sale.

But fear not! – you can still get this months Zodiac K9 – a Capricorn Garnet Schnauzer by breeding any Miniature Schnauzer with a Capricorn Garnet Eye together! – Read more here –http://amarettobreedables.com/blogs/5/159/january-goodies

Thats all from me everyone, have a wonderful day.
