Category : Amaretto Announcements

Hey Everyone!

Markus and I have been super busy (yet again) šŸ˜›

A few weeks back we did a connection on The Amaretto Family website and explained about its features, well that website really laid the groundwork for this new website we are showing you today (they are joined, you can login with your TAF Account, or create a new one).

But first let me explain that these sites are in no way run by Amaretto, but by myself and Markus. We are sharing this with you thanks to Josie for giving us permission to do.

https://www.theamarettofamily.xyz/

TAF Classifieds is a new way to advertise your animals that you are selling, it is similar in some regards to other website platforms out there already available but it does have some interesting features that we hope you will check out!

It lets everyone post adverts for free!

PS we plan to add more features in the coming months!

For more in-depth information on the features of the website you can check out this article here: https://www.theamarettofamily.xyz/index.php?/forums/topic/4-website-features/

If you are interested in checking it out, sign up here! – https://www.theamarettofamily.xyz/index.php?/register/

The Amaretto Family

Hey Everyone,

As most of you already know about The Amaretto Community website (https://www.theamarettocommunity.comĀ not ran by Amaretto but by myself and Bazza) today I want to tell you all about a NEW website that Bazza and I have been working on over the past few weeks!

The Amaretto Family (https://www.theamarettofamily.com) is an extension of The Amaretto Community.

So why the 2 websites?, Well let me explain why.

Firstly, The Amaretto Community (TAC) website is not going anywhere, It will still be used for sharing new traits/showing off the goodies you get in-world and keeping everyone up to date. However, the “community” features of the website were relatively complicated and not very clean and easy to use for the average user, and this showed by the lack of community features, it also was buggy at times with registration and also password resets. So we have taken the decision to disable registration and the membership mechanics on the TAC website. If you had an account on there you will no longer be able to log into it.

The Amaretto Family (TAF) website is a separateĀ platform to TAC. TAF uses software that is widely adopted across forums and communities. The official Second Life forums run on this very software. It is much easier to register, adjust profiles, reset passwords and take part in the community.

One very useful feature is full integration with Discord – We will be taking the step to rename our Discord channel to “The Amaretto Family”.

Secondly, to bring the community closer together we have integrated the folks over at AMOC (Amaretto Market Owner Coalition) into this ecosystem. (AMOC’s previous website had similar issues in regards to communities as TAC did). So if you are an avid AMOC user you should sign up here and grab an account as you will need it to register here for future AMOC events. AMOC’s Forum:Ā https://www.theamarettofamily.com/index.php?/forum/5-amaretto-market-owners-coalition-amoc/

This platform is years ahead of the previous so we encourage you all to sign up and join in! – We are still working on adding everything so keep an eye on this site over the coming days.
We also have plans to add some exciting new features to the platform over the coming weeks/months!

On that note our in-world TAC signs have been readjusted to show the changes to the site. So if you have an old one out you should probably pick up a new one (for free) here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sushene Seven/219/161/21

We also have a new sign for TAF which can also be picked up for free at the same location!

A special thanks goes out to Josie for letting us post this 3rd party community on the connection. <3

Hugs everyone, Marku <3

Howdy Amaretto Breeders! Happy Friday! I hope you all have an amazing weekend!!!Ā  Today I wanted to take some time to remind everyone how to protect yourself in Secondlife while breeding and selling your breedables.

A few things you can do to protect yourself and your breedables.

  • Donā€™t buy/sell breedablesĀ to avatars that are only one day old.
  • Always set prices of your breedablesĀ in your inventory or in a private area
  • When putting items out for auction be sure they are not set for sale before they are sold
  • Donā€™t buy breedablesĀ from random people iming you.
  • Always check the creator of the horse, K-9 or Barnyard Bird. It should always without exception beĀ JJ Cerna for horses, Ancient Biscuit for K-9s , Mazelina Menna for Barnyard Birds and PlayfulPonie Resident for the Ponie Pals.
  • NEVER I mean never buy a duplicated breedableĀ or a breedablesĀ that you havenā€™t seen rezzed in Secondlife.

Amaretto cannot be there to help you at every breedableĀ sale nor can we refund you if you buy a copybotted breedableĀ or a duplicated breedable. You have to protect yourself against these people in Secondlife, if you do fall victim to one of these scams the best thing to do is file a abuse report them to Linden Lab.

There have been some issues in the past with a griefer pretending to give out free stuff that if you wear it or give it debit permissions it will drain your Linden balance. I just wanted to give out a few tips about protecting yourself from these kinds of griefers and thieves.

1.) Always pay attention to who is giving you things. If you donā€™t know them donā€™t wear itā€¦ only rez it. If it asks you to give it debit permissions DECLINE IT!!!! Then delete it and purge it from your inventory.

2.) When dealing with Amaretto products they are no modify, no copy, no transfer. They can only be purchased from an Amaretto store and Marketplace or be given by one of the four Amaretto Business Avatars JJ Cerna, Ancient Biscuit, Mazelina Menna and PlayfulPonie Resident. Any other avatar trying to give out Amaretto Products (other than animals of course) is a griefer or copybotter. Real Amaretto products will never ask for debt permissions!!!!

Also be sure to check out this blog by Josaphine on protecting yourself:

http://amarettobreedables.com/blogs/5/131/copybotters-again

Please be responsible and protect yourself. Ā But you guys have to be proactive and protect yourself against such scams and report all scammers to Linden Lab with an abuse report. Last but not least always remember that if something sounds too good to be true it probably is!

I hope this helps you in protecting yourself this coming weekend and your investment while breeding Amaretto Ranch Breedables.

Until next time….

Have Suggestions??

Happy Hump Day Fellow Breeders!

Have you ever had an idea pop into your head that you think would make a great design for an Amaretto Horse, K-9, Barnyard Bird/Duck or Ponie Pal? Perhaps, there is a topic youā€™d like to have more information about in a Connection?Ā  If so, let me tell you how you can share those creative thoughts, ideas, and suggestions with us!

For design ideas, simply jot down the details on a notecard. Save the notecard and then drag and drop it into a suggestion box located at any Amaretto food store. Look for the big blue mailboxes!

You can find Amaretto store locations here:Ā http://amarettobreedables.com/pages/locations

Suggestions can, also, be submitted through the ticket system. Log into the Amaretto support website atĀ http://support.amarettobreedables.com, click on Submit A Ticket. From the Select a department page, choose Suggestions/Questions and hit the Next button.

Then,Ā on the next page, add your SL User Name, put your suggestion in the subject box and Submit!

All suggestions, from both the mailboxes and the ticket system, are reviewed by the owners and management on a daily basis. Please understand, though, that while we value your suggestions and design input, they may not all be used. However,Ā aĀ lot of the designs and traits do come from suggestions from our community members!

Lastly, if you have a topic youā€™d like to see spotlighted in a future Connection, just put it on a notecard and send inworld to me, Blush Topaz.Ā  Iā€™ll try my best to get all your topics covered!

Amaretto loves hearing from you! Until next timeā€¦HAPPY BREEDING!

Happy Monday everyone!Ā  Today I wanted to take the opportunity to talk to you all about updating and keeping your animals up to date!! Did you know that Amaretto only supports current version animals! This means if for any reason your breedable goes through support it will come back the most currentĀ version! Animals will only eat and breed correctly when the are current version. Let me list the current versions for you below :

Amaretto Horses: Version 5.5

Amaretto K-9: Version 2.2

Amaretto Barnyard Birds: Version 3.0

Amaretto Ponie Pals: Version 1.20

Amaretto Barnyard Ducks: Version 1.2

Amaretto releasesĀ an update for one of the breedables in order to add new things or to fix small issues. Ā Updating is easy and can be quite fun and exciting so let me tell you a few things about updating your breedables. You must update your breedables to take advantage of all fixes in an update. Now let’s take a look at how to update a breedable…

How to update your breedable?
Itā€™s simple:
You will have to pick up your FREE updater at any of the Amaretto locations once an update has been released. Even when it isnt uda

Single Updater:
Place the updater near the animal that isnā€™t updated and from the animals menu select the update button. The animal will be updated and the settings will be the same as before the update process.

Bulk Updater:

Place the bulk updater in the middle of your breeding area, click the updater and adjust the settings you want your animal to be set to after the update process, then select the update button on the updater menu. Do not remove the updater until it has completed updating all animals and the hover text above the updater reads FINISHED.

***DO NOT PICK UP ANIMALS OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS***
Somethings you need to know about the updater:

1. It will not work if there is more than one updater out. It gives you a message that there are 2 updaters out please remove one. If you continue to try and update your horse It will give you another error message and have you pick one updater up and reset the other. (touch and wait 5 seconds to reset)

2. It will not update pregnant animals. The reason being the updater can potentially abort the pregnancy. Waiting to update your pregnant animals will not effect their functions, they will continue to eat, move, animate etc. When they give birth then you can update them. The bundle, kennel, or nest will be the old version and need to be updated when birthed.

3. The updater will not work on sims with a high load. Dilation needs to be above .65 and region fps must be above 25 for the updater to work. You will get an error message that says the sim dilation is too low, we have enclosed a sim monitor that will display these values for you. Just rez on your sim next to the updater.

4. Sick breedables can also be updated using the updater.

5. You can only update animals that you own.

You can also check out the how-to-videos on the website for easy instructions on updating:

http://amarettobreedables.com/videos/7/6/how-to-use-the-bulk-updater

http://amarettobreedables.com/videos/7/5/how-to-use-the-single-updater

Now you guys should be all ready to update your breedables when itā€™s time for an update ā€¦.. itā€™s not time yet! But an update is in t he works as we speak!!

Happy breeding!

Until next time….

From that page, you can link to facts, a glossary of terms, the product price list, the point system and other vital information about your breedables.Ā  (*For the examples, the horse pages have been used.)

Most importantly, you can link to a list of traits.Ā Traits are arranged in chronological order (oldest to newest), broken down by category and includes a photo of each.

To search for a trait, Just enter any keyword you wish to find and press the search button. For instance, if you were to search by the word ā€œspring,ā€ here is an abbreviated list of the results:
