Missing and Lost

Our data base contains UUID, descriptions and even what you name your horse or bundle. When a ticket comes in for missing horses or bundles, we do our best to find them for you. If you don’t have the UUID and you at least have the name of the horse or bundle it will make it easier to find. Leaving you horse named Amaretto Breedable Horse or your bundle named Amaretto Breedable Bundle can present a problem on finding your lost items.

Also your transaction history, when you purchased an item can also be a valuable help when you have tickets on  items that did not come into your inventory when you purchased from others, or at auctions.

We are here to help you everyday, so please help us help you , in finding your lost horses and bundles.

Hello Everyone,

Today I would like to take the time to bring all the new people up to date on how the Amaretto Horses work. First of all I would love to say welcome to all the new people that have been joining the group and the ones that are new to the horses in general. The horses came out in Sept of last year and since then has become a big thing with the breedable community. I will be taking the time to talk about bundles, food, salt licks, and how the breeding works.

Bundles:
When your horse has a bundle or you just buy a bundle from the store some do not realize but you have to click the bundle and hit birth everyone thinks well most items we buy in sl we have to open if your new to breeding this is a very common mistake that can happen just remember if you do make this mistake and your a new breeder file a ticket and we will help you out. Always remember… click the bundle and hit birth and then yes to confirm the birth.

Food:
There are 2 different types of food depending on what your outlook for the horses is. You can have them as just a pet if you wish, if this is the case, you can use pet food for this. Pet food will keep the horse fed but at the same time it does take the breeding aspect away.  Don’t worry…  if you decide later on you want to breed the horse, you can just change the food type to breeder food and place out the breedable food. It will take 7 days once a horse is switched from pet food to breeder food to start gaining fervor if all other conditions are right 🙂  With breedable Food, this type of food is perfect for all those who want to breed horses. Breedable food will allow your horse to gain the fervor it needs to have bundles so you can get offspring from your horse 🙂

Salt Licks:
Salt Licks are used to help with Happiness they will help your horse gain the correct happiness it needs to start gaining fervor remember if your horse is on pet food you do not really need the salt licks unless you just want it to be happy. Salt licks do not make the horse gain fervor like some do believe, they just help them gain the happiness.

How Breeding Works:
All horses have a submissive  gene and a dominant gene, if you take two white walkers and put them together you may not get a white walker in return because they have a hidden gene that is called the sub this has a chance to pass to the offspring just as well as the dom does. Just because you might say my horse is pure well there is always that chance it does have a sub gene of a different coat that will pass.

I do also want to touch base on one more thing before I let you all go… I have had some people telling me “I am birthing all girls. Why am I not birthing any boys?” Since the beginning the males have always been more rare then the females hence they are harder to get. You can say “Well I have birthed 5 girls in a row. One should have been a male!”  This is not the case. You should remember it’s not just you birthing the bundles it’s every single breeder out there that is also birthing bundles so there is a very good chance you will birth more females then males.

Please note below is a list of starter coats and eyes. Starters are considered any horse that is birthed directly from a starter bundle which come from any of the starter packs sold at the Amaretto stores.
Please note, Appaloosas are now a retired coat. Which means they will no longer be available through the starter packs but can be bred through existing appaloosas or horses with this gene.

Thank You for taking time to read my blog…. until next time…

Oh… for some added fun if you all want to send me a pic of your favorite horse in sl to Richie Carami, make it a very nice pic, I will choose 3 of my faves!! If I get enough, I will post them on next weeks blog for everyone to see.. Please if you decide to send in a pic, name the pic your SecondLife  name so I know who to give the credit to if your pic is chosen.

Wow its another manic Monday……..here we are embarking on a new week what bundles are in store for you? Or even me LOL. So one week of the customer connection and what do you guys think? Is it a keeper? Well last week I asked for ncs on what you guys wanted to see posts on and I only got one. I cant remember who sent it but they wanted me to talk about charmed horses.
There are currently 6 different types of charmed horses:

  • Pegacorn
  • Pegasus
  • Unicorn
  • Robo Unicorn
  • Demon Horse
  • Nightmare Clydesdale

How charming are they exactly? Well the first myth is that charmed horses can pass their coats this is not true, they will not pass their coats, their eyes, or any other specific traits for any one particular charmed.

Charmed horses do have a slight increased chance of giving birth to another charmed however, this increase is not in the normal coat charmed offspring babies,  but only the actual charmed babies from a charmed horse have a greater chance to get another charmed.
If you have a charmed horse that is missing a horn or a wing you need to file a ticket for this horse it is not any more special than other charmed that has these things, but it was a glitch in the older bundles but will be fixed in the next update.

So what new charms are in store for Amaretto? Well i cant exactly tell you that 😛 But if there is another topic you would like to see on the customer connection please send a nc in world to Avalon Crystal, and one of the csrs will post about it!

I hope that everyone has a great week!  I wish you all long, longs with many traits!! Happy Breeding everyone!!

If a charmed horse is bred with another horse of any type, or with another charmed, will yield a greater chance of having a charmed, however, when their descedents breed (if they aren’t charmed) will not garner the increased chance.

  • Charmed + Charmed= higher chance
  • Charmed + Non Charmed = higher chance
  • Offspring of Charmed (non charmed) + Offspring of Charmed (non charmed) = no higher chance than a normal non charmed horse

Just confirmed straight from our scripter [20:31]  Lexxure Lock: A non-charmed horse breeding with another non-charmed horse WILL NOT have a greater chance to have a new charmed, REGARDLESS OF ITS PARENTS. If a charmed horse is bred with another horse of any type, or with another charmed, will yield a greater chance of having a charmed, however, when their descedents breed (if they aren’t charmed) will not garner the increased chance.

Jaysin & I hope that everyone has enjoyed hearing from each of the CSR’s this week. It has been interesting for us to see what each of them chose to write about. I found the topics to be very informative and hope that everyone in the community did as well. I would like to say a public thank you now to our littlest CSR, Avalon Crystal, as this blog was her idea. Thank you Avalon, you might be small but you sure have some giant sized, great ideas!

I know everyone is extremely anxious for the pairing issue that came up during the 2.0 update to be fixed and I also know that you are all tired of hearing the team say the word soon. So! I am going to be the first to tell you all right here on the blog, that this issue will be fixed this week!

That’s right the fix is almost done, and will include fixes to a few more things that I won’t go into any more detail on yet. Lets just say I think that most people will be pleasantly surprised.

We will not be sending daily notices each day next week, but I want you all to know that the CSR’s are going to continue to blog here each day of the week so be sure to bookmark the page and check back each day, with this team you never know what the topic of the day might be! I hope you all have a great week and thank you all for taking the time to read this.

Josaphine Cooperstone

Amaretto Owner/Creator

Musing’s from Mal

Friday’s group started out with a bang. In the morning one of our staff members  accidently posted a market space ad in the group which lead to some heavy accusing in the group as the market advertised was the market also owned by the Amaretto Owners. Karrie apologized and the accusations did not stop, which lead to the sending of this notice, which I am posting again here in case you did not receive it  As you know, no ads of selling , or ads of markets are allowed in this group. A lot of people have been making this mistake and unless they do it regularly we forgive. Well one of our staff, that also works for a market place has made a mistake and sent a notice out advertising the market she works for. She apologized several times in open chat, and now I am sending this apology to everyone as mistakes can happen. Thank you for understanding.Last night again accusations on company ethics started, with people accusing the owner, Josaphine Cooperstone of selling her horses in the past. CSR’s tried to let everyone know that this was not true and that Josaphine had not and does not sell any horses. Josaphine herself came into the group, to defend against the false accusations which finally led to this statement being posted by one of the group

•Will staff be able to breed and sell your breedables in the market? All staff other than the owners, scripter, and builder will be able to sell the horses since they will not have access to any of the“inside” information or to the main database. And yes CSR’s sell horses as we love to breed them and raise them just like everyone else.I hope this will help clear up some of the questions others that were not in the group yesterday may have as we all know gossip travels fast and changes its story quicklyTake Care All and see you next Saturday

P.S I also learned something new yesterday. It was brought to my attention by a group member that 2.0 bundles when they are birthed defaut to both food types. I spoke with our scripter Lex and he said it will be fixed.
So for the time being, set food preference after birthing them through the menu.

Myths vs Facts

Hello everyone!  It’s finally Friday, and finally my turn to burn up the blog. *YaY*  As promised earlier this week I’m going to use my blog time to share some of the things that the Amaretto Scripter, Lexxure Lock, had to say in the group this week.  The entire team was very happy that Lex took time to come join us all in the group and answer some questions from the community and also to jump around to different people’s horses and chat with them about concerns they may be having.  The big topics when Lex was in the group was food and salt licks. We have heard those of you with concerns over the food consumption and the happiness levels loud and clear and this is why we asked Lex to join us in the group.  I will list some of the things he had to say for you now:

  1. Horses don’t eat more in 2.0 than they did in any other version
  2. A horse at 50% hunger will eat at triple the rate. That’s a food setting NOT a horse setting
  3. The script was changed to allow a 100% hunger horse to eat out of sickness.  That part of the code is independent from the current eating patterns, and is set to a separate timer entirely
  4. There is a known bug regarding the happiness.  A male horse at 100% fervor will not use a salt lick.  The issue is fixed on my test horses and will be out on the next update, whenever that is
  5. Happiness is tied to energy and salt licks, If it’s under 30 energy it will drop regardless of the use of a salt lick.  It will probably still be above 50/70 before it goes to sleep, and it will gain some likely when it awakens
  6. You don’t lose fervor in a horse. Happiness can drop though over time based on energy.
  7. The happiness WILL drop though if the horse is overly hungry, above 50% hunger and every point gained after. Every point above 50% hunger, the happiness will drop by one  if you use the “Awaken” option, happiness drops by 5, and it’s detrimental since you won’t get the bonus from 100 to 70 energy
  8. The food is unchanged, the only change to hunger is that you can now have a horse eat its way out of starvation.  The food has a triple consumption rate when the horse is above 50% and a double rate above 20%, but this has been the case since day 1
  9. A horse does not change its range setting on rerez, it will stay at what it is.

Rest assured Lex is constantly running tests and looking for ways to make the horses better. We hope the information he provided this week helps alot of people and remember if you have questions or concerns please submit a ticket on the support system. I hope everyone has a great weekend and that your horses give you good bundles.  **Happy Trails** Dakota

Hey everyone, I know this one is coming a little late but its been a busy day at the Amaretto offices.
We are still working hard on checking into and testing the fixes for the pairing issue.

I thought I would take this opportunity to talk to you guys and gals about filing tickets! All tickets are filed
@ http://support.amarettobreedables.com/

There are a few things that you should always include in your ticket.
Make sure your full sl name is included, and any information that you have on the horse such as UUID, name, or if your filling a ticket about a bundle be sure to include mothers name or UUID.

Now for the follow through, all tickets are addressed on the ticket system so if you don’t log in to see the Amaretto staff reply you wont get one. We will not contact you in world and will not be able to solve issues via note card, the ticket system keeps things recorded and organized making us more efficient and able to answer tickets faster.

A couple of do’s and don’ts:
Don’t file a ticket on a horse you don’t own, we may ask for the horse in world and you wont be able to send it!

Do include all transaction history if you bought a product and didn’t not receive in world or for a horse you bought and never went into inventory.

Don’t file several tickets for the same issue you can include multiple issues on one ticket, the more we have the longer it takes to get to them all.

Do send all horses in world in a folder with your name and ticket number, as many horses that are passed to us with no name they can easily get lost in our inventory.

Don’t im a csr in world and ask why isn’t my ticket done! We answer them in order as received and we will get to yours ASAP.

DO answer your ticket with in 3 days or it will be closed! It is our way of insuring all tickets are answered within 72 hours.

Doing all of these things will ensure your ticket is answered and not left asking for more info because we can usually close a ticket if all info is included!

I want you to know Amaretto is grateful for each and ever breeder we have, without you guys we wouldn’t be here! Now I pass the torch to Dakota for her Friday post! Happy breeding!!

Lexxure has been kind enough to come into the group for the past 2 nights and address people concerns with food, salt and happiness. We are aware many have concerns and I just want you all to know we hear you.   I will be posting more on his adventures into the community on my regular posting day on Friday.

Hi Everyone
I really had an enjoyable time in the group this morning. There was no argueing and everyone was having a pleasant conversation. I sure Thank you all for that. These are some of the things we talked about today:

What the gender of a horse is before it was birthed. The gender of the horses are random so its not possible to tell what gender it is until after it is birthed.
The Charmed horses come to you randomly and any pair of horses can give you a Charmed Horse.
You can update any horses after March 5th the only thing is you will not get any support on  1.3 horses after that date. We will still replace missing/lost 1.3 horses but they will be returned as the current version not 1.3’s. It’s always good to remember anytime support repairs your horses they will be sent back to you as the current version.
Thank You for reading  an have a great day .

Hello Everyone,
I have been watching the group today and i see a few of you do have a few questions one of them is

When will the pairing be fixed? Answer: Although I cannot give you a date to this I will say it will be very soon we are working hard to correct the issues with the pairing and want to make sure to test it before putting the fix out

Why do my salt licks say 0% ? and does that mean they are empty? Answer: The hover text does not effect how they salt licks work if you check in the description field of the salt lick a full one will state 42 so are they empty at 0%? No when they are empty they will disappear..

Now on to the biggest question and concern I see of the day…
Why is food going so fast? Answer: Its not going faster than it ever has. A hungry horse will eat about 2 to 3 times more then a horse that is not hungry. Let me give you an example of something
If you have 300 horses they will eat 300 foods a month it is 1 food per horse per month 300 divided by 4 weeks being 28 days is 11 foods a day is what 300 NON hungry horses will eat.. Food is not going any faster then it should be if you are having issues they could be due to sl itself or the horses could be hungry as stated….

On to the next Big Question
Why can you not release new stuff into the old horses without buying new? Answer: We have to remember all horses have a dom and sub trait if you have a horse that you have been working hard on for a long time would you want its traits to change? No you wouldn’t  If we could make it to where you could get new traits from the old horses your traits would change all together

With all this being said I do wanna say that I am very sad how some do act in the group, we do our best to provide you all with great customer service and we will still strive to do our best we are not perfect just like everyone else we put our pants on one leg at a time. I wish and hope that the group could be more civil at times instead of arguing like I do see alot of… If an Amaretto staff member gives info in the group why argue with us and tell us we are wrong? why ask the question if you are just going to say we are wrong….  sometimes it seems that some want to come in the group and try to take control over the group which is wrong it is sad but true…..

I do hope that I did not offend anyone but the truth being said I will see you all next Tuesday…
