Happy Friday Everyone!! Hope you’re all having a good breeding day!

Today I wanted to talk to you today about the Amaretto Museum located on the ARU sim. Yes I know this is where we have classes, but did you know we also have many of the older and newer breedables in the Amaretto Museum. They are on display if you would like to visit and see them.
The University sim itself is beautiful but the Museum is so much fun to walk thru and remember back to all the different Amaretto Horses that have been released since September 2010 when Amaretto took the grid by storm! If that’s not enough to take in please don’t forget to walk around the K-9 and Barnyard Bird areas, you’re sure to find some cute breedables there too!
I like to go to the Museum and look at all the Amaretto Horses there and then go out into the community and look around. It’s fun to see just what you guys have done with the traits to make each of the horses look so unique and fun! It’s also great to see the way the different coats look with various traits.
So take the time to go check out the Amaretto Museum then go walk around the Breedable markets and let your imagination run wild!

Tips & Tricks

Happy Thursday everyone!  Hope you’re all having a great breeding week!  Lately I’ve noticed a lot of people in the group having issues getting their horses to breed.  All the stats are the way they should be and it appears they are ready to do the deed yet you wait and wait and nothing happens.  I thought I would share with you today some of my tips for getting them to breed.

First put on some Barry White, laughs although I’ve heard tales that the horses are big fans I’m only teasing.

  1.  First thing I always do is check all the stats.  More times than I care to tell you I’ve tried to mate 2 females or 2 males together.  So be sure they are 1 of each gender and then check all their stats make sure they’re set to the right group, make sure they are the same version, see what their range is and double check that they are really 100% fervor.  Happiness or energy doesn’t matter after they reach 100% fervor as long as they are awake.
  2. Now you’ve checked all that and everything looks good.  If they are paired go ahead and move them away from all your other horses to a private spot where they can be alone and then break the pairing on both of them.
  3. Once the pairing is broke I usually let them sit there together for a few minutes and see if they breed.  If they still don’t want to do the deed then I will turn their movement on let them walk around.
  4. You can pass them to a trusted friend and have them try to get them to breed if they still aren’t cooperating.  I’ve also found that sometimes they just want a change of scenery and taking them to a new sim will help move things along.
  5. Sometimes they want some privacy and I have to leave my sim and give them some time alone and then they work things out and finally breed.

Hopefully these easy tips will help if you have some stubborn horses refusing to breed with one another.

Until next week, Happy Breeding everyone!

I use my G.P.S. do you?

Hello? Anyone out there? Oh! There you are! Hope your having a lazy Sunday! I wanted to take a few moments to talk to you guys about something I use everyday on my Amaretto Breedables!

The Global Pony Settings Barrel aka G.P.S
The Amaretto G.P.S. (Global Pony Settings) is a tool that will change the settings on all your Horses on one sim all at one time!!

So you don’t want to have animations on? The horse sounds driving you nuts? Well you can use the G.P.S to change all of the following setting on all horses on a sim in just a few clicks!!!

Movement
Animations
Text
Sounds
Range
Home

I know when i am birthing bundles, or moving horses I use the G.P.S.  to reset homes and turn off movement. Or even when setting up my horses at a market using the G.P.S. ensures my sounds and movement is off on every horse I rez out without me clicking all of them.

The G.P.S. is even built right into the Horse Hud! You can just wear the hud and use the G.P.S. just like you would if you had the barrel rezzed out on your land.

gps

We also have the following for the K-9s Global Pup Settings Hydrant
This works the same way as the Global Pony Settings Barrel does!
Follow these simple instructions to use your G.P.S.

1. Click the G.P.S. Hydrant Updater.
2. Pick your Settings one at a time.
Movement
Animations
Text
Sounds
Range
3. Hit Activate

You fill see the text flash on all K-9s on the sim so you will know all the settings have been changed on every k-9 on the sim.

Last but not least the Amaretto Barnyard Birds have the Global Peck’n Sort. This G.P.S. works the same as the other 2.
So the day of clicking tens or hundreds of Horses, K-9s, or Barnyard Birds is gone.

I hope that you guys are utilizing these tools to manage your breedables because I know that it saves a lot of time for me.
If you want to learn more about any of the G.P.S. features or how it works please attend the classes on the G.P.S.  at ARU!

Remember you can pick up all 3 G.P.S.’s at all amaretto locations!

Breeding an Pairing Amaretto Horses

Happy Friday Everyone! Hope everyone is having a good breeding day!

Today I would like to talk about breeding an pairing your Amaretto Horses.

Now choose 2 horses that your wish to pair each other to.
First make sure they are male and female.
Second make sure they are the same version.
Third make sure they are both 7 days or older in age.
Fourth make sure they are not sleeping.
Now if you have checked all this lets pair 2 horses.

You would first click on one of the horses you wish to pair.
You decided to choose Tom and Mary they are special horses,
Ok first you would click on Tom.

On the main menu you will see breeding click on that tab.

When it opens you will see pairing click on that tab in local it will ask you to say the name of the horse you wish to pair to.

Example: You want to pair it to Mary in local chat you would type in the name Mary

You will get a drop down menu asking you to confirm or cancel you will choose confirm.

When they are paired in local you will see something like this
Tom is now paired with Mary.

The hover text above the paired horses will change to show the pairing.
Pairing will automatically be broken once they breed.

Now you have paired 2 horses together they will only breed to each other.

Now let’s talk a little about the conditions of breeding horses.
1. They both must be the same version.
2. They need to be at least 7 days old or more to breed together.
3. They need to have fervor at 100%, the fervor begins to rise after they are 7 and the happiness is over 75%.
