Horse Museum Gets a Revamp!

Hello everyone hope you are gearing up to enjoy a great weekend even a 3 day weekend for some!

I wanted to let you guys all in on a little something that me and Mrs. Cooperstone have worked very hard on!

If you haven’t noticed there has been many changes made at the Amaretto Ranch University. There are 2 new buildings one is the ceremony hall the other is the classroom.

NewARU

We have relocated the horse museum and we are still in the process of relocating the K-9 and Barnyard Bird museums.

At this museum you can see every horse Amaretto has ever released including all OOAKS!

This is a trail so feel free to grab a horse and ride down the trail of Amaretto Horses!!

There are teleports for each section of the museum.

How do you get there? Well head to the main store:

Once you step through the door on the right side you will see the teleporter!
Here is a picture of it so you can spot it!

So take a ride on up to the new Museum and walk the trail of Amaretto Horses! This is truly a sight to be seen!!

Interview With Amaretto Breeder

Happy Friday Everyone! Hope everyone is having a good breeding day!

Guess what!! I am interviewing Amaretto Breeders! Each week I will be picking someone from the Amaretto Group. This week I have picked Pams Nightfire to interview.

Please tell the community a little about yourself.
Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?

Well I live in Utah, USA. I have been in SL 7 years on New Year’s Eve. I am SL Married with 7 prim babies and have raised horses since 2010. In RL I have many health issues so this is my release; I have a bad heart, diabetes and arthritis many places on my body.

Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?

I have horses and I use to raise dogs

How did you get started in breedables?

When the Leopard Appaloosa Horse came out in 2010 I saw a baby and decided I wanted to raise horses so went and bought some of them.

Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?

No

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?

Trying to make 7 traited White walker Rainbows and I breed what I named Walking Dead. I started those at Halloween 2013. Now I will be trying to add the bloody Horn to them.

This is my Walking Dead.
Coat: Black Walker
Eye: Undead
Mane: Long
Tail: Long
Coat Gloom
Hair Gloom
Wing: Bloody

What is your favorite Amaretto Breedable?

Horses

What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?

Spending time with the kids and my husband, dancing, playing greedy and chatting with friends.
Also I need to say Amaretto was very good to me. In 2011 at Xmas time someone bought horses from over 250 people. We all had our accounts locked because the person buying the horses used stolen credit cards and she washed the illegally gotten horses through many newbie accounts and so we were all treated like we had done it. Well amaretto had me list all the horses I needed to keep going. They patiently made me over 100 horses and those I sent back to my av through an alt this way I could still breed and make money and not lose out it kept me afloat, at the time I have over 250 horses. I will be forever thankful for this.

Thank you Pams Nightfire for letting me interview you this week. I am including some pictures of Pams Amaretto Breedables.

So look out Amaretto Breeders you never know who I may pick!

Until next week Happy Breeding!!

Pams  Favorite Amaretto Horse

Happy Thursday! This week I am excited for the 2nd installment of my series of Spotlights dedicated to our amazing group moderators.  The moderator in the spotlight this week is one of the 2 mods I enjoy watching switch seamlessly between helping our breeders in 2 different languages!!

Angie Jacobus is a wonderful moderator helping out in both the main Amaretto group and the Amaretto Multi-language group and if you ask me her English is as perfect as her German!  I truly enjoy watching our multi-language mods jump back and forth helping our breeders in both groups.  Angie I don’t know what we would do without you!! Here are the answers Angie gave to my probing questions!

*Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?

I’m from Bavaria in Germany and after a friend told me about SL I made my account

*Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?

I breed horses and K-9

*How long have you been involved with Amaretto Breedables?

About 2 weeks after the release of the horses I started with breeding them

*How did you get started in breedables?

I got a starter pair from a friend and after their first bundle I was addicted

*Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?

Beside the horses and dogs I have some cats (KittyCats)

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?

I try for some different projects, e.g. I try to get maximum red on black/white, maximum rainbow, maximum pink … – and I always have some siblings in my herd and already got some Albinos, and I try for the Galaxy and Confection horses and for sure the monthly project from Amaretto, like the new Crazed now

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9s?

With my K-9 I also try for the monthly project Crazed (earlier Show dog and Twist) – and I also try Mutts and Blanco’s, I already got a Blanco earlier 🙂 – and I love the Rainbow Dawilds and the spotted (Harlequin Dane + spotted eye + spotted nose)

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Birds?

I don’t breed the birds

*What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?

I’m manager of a known market (Sweetflowers) and I’m supporter in the German Firestorm support group.  To be honest, I don’t have much time for other things, but when I have time I love to do hunts – and sure I love shopping 🙂

*What is it that you enjoy most about being an Amaretto Group Moderator?

I love to talk to other people and help them with hints and I love talking about different experiences in breeding

I hope you all learned a little more about our lovely Angie! Be sure to say hello when you see her in the groups! Just a reminder to our Amaretto Community, the Amaretto Group Moderators are not privy to any inside Amaretto information, nor are they told things in advance. They are here to help out in our groups and lend a hand when they can.  The moderators have been around a long time and have many suggestions to help when you have issues but if all else fails please file a ticket on our support system and a CSR or a member of Amaretto Staff will assist you!

Check out the pictures below of Angie’s breeding set up and of course a selfie! Until next time happy breeding!!

Spotlight on Amaretto Moderators….Anaconda Carter

Happy Thursday!! I’m excited to start the New Year off with a special series of blogs where I shine my Spotlight on the awesome Amaretto Group Moderators!  Our moderators are the best around! There seems to always be at least one of them in the Amaretto groups listening and lending a hand.  So to start off 2015 I thought it would be nice to give the Amaretto Community a chance to get to know these hard working individuals better.  I sent each of the moderators 10 of the same questions and over the next few weeks I will Spotlight their answers.

We are going to start off by shining the Spotlight on Anaconda Carter.  I’m sure if you’ve spent any amount of time in the groups you’ve seen Ana in there talking at one time or another.  She is quick to answer a question or provide a link and always willing to help out a new breeder or even breeders that have been around for long time! Here are Anaconda’s answers to my probing questions!!

*Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?

I’m from California, Yosemite area, with waterfalls, bears and tourists, about 3 hours from SL headquarters. I joined SL in 2007 to do live singing performances with my friend. We sang for 2 years until RL forced her to give it up

*Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?

I have horses dogs and a few chickens

*How did you get started in breedables?]

A friend of mine gave me a starter horse as a pet, but when I saw they could have babies I was hooked, got my first bundle from her in November of 2010

*Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?

I used to have breedable snakes but they weren’t much fun, only 2 prims and no interaction, like with Amaretto with racing and playing fetch, not even holding

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?

I don’t have any project horses right now, except for trying for the confection coat and the new crazed coat, and breeding the great eye into my horses.

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9s?

Besides the huskies, I try to breed the rainbow dawilds, because I’m a sucker for rainbow coats, plus I like to add reptile eyes to my dogs

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Birds?

I’m always trying to add new traits to my birds, like the eyes from the Christmas CEs

*What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?

I started learning to build years ago, and got into making jewelry along with almost everything else I need in SL. I don’t think I’ve been shopping in ages. I also am a great trivia buff, and love to play trivia

*What is it that you enjoy most about being an Amaretto Group Moderator?

I love being able to help people, to point them in the right direction for information, or help with a problem when I can. Myth busting is always fun too.

Well I’ve known Anaconda for years now and I actually learned a thing or two from reading her answers!  Thanks Ana great job!!

Uniil Next time, Happy Breeding!!!

Super Mix Pack!!!!

Hey everyone I wanted to take a minute to talk to you about the Super Mix pack because it seems some are having a little confusion.

A Super Mix Pack is 5 Breedable Food & 5 Salt Licks with 5x the servings as a regular Breedable Food & Salt. The cost of a Super Mix Pack is 5,850 LS.

SuperMixJumboMixDo not confuse a Super Mix Pack with the Jumbo Mix pack which is the same price but has 25 Breedable Food & 25 Salt Licks.

Snapshot_002

What is the advantage of a Super Mix Pack vs a Jumbo Mix pack?
Well its the same amount of food just in less prims. Remember one food out of the Super Mix pack will last 5 xs longer than a food from a Jumbo Mix Pack.

We have clearly marked the Super Mix Pack food to look different than any other food it has a 5xs stamp on the food as well as the salt.

Snapshot_001

If you have questions about any of the Amaretto Horse products you can check out the Product Price List:
http://wiki.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Product_Price_List

So when you are buying mix packs please be sure you buy the one you want because there are no refunds or exchanges on no transfer items!!!

I hope everyone is kicking off the new year and having a great day! Happy breeding this is Ava over and out!
