Interview With An Amaretto Breeder

Happy Friday Everyone! Hope everyone is having a good breeding day!

Today I had the pleasure to interview Eve Greymoon. Eve is always in the group helping other breeders, so if you see Eve please be sure to say hello.

Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?
I currently live in New Mexico USA., but I have lived a lot of places and had the privilege of traveling and visiting lots other countries too. A friend I met through a gaming forum brought me to second life back in 2008. I started meeting amazing people and exploring all the cool things SL has to offer, and I never left!

Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?
I own Horses, K9s, and Barnyard birds, though I currently am not breeding the birds.

How did you get started in breedables?
It’s all Nashville’s fault! Back in late 2010, my SL husband and my sister were working on decorating our sim…they were looking for a realistic barn and ended up at Nashville’s place. There were little newborn horses running around…omg so cute…and my sis couldn’t wait to show me. Nashville was kind enough to convince us to buy breeder packs of starters LOL. As they say, the rest is history!

*Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?
I have a few WK big cats, and a few Biobreeds dogs and foxes, but the vast majority of my prims are used for Amaretto breedables.

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?
See, what happens is, you start one project, then you get inspired, and it morphs into two…and three… If I had to choose one horse project to tell you about right now, it was inspired by a Blood Doll. I’m adding Toxic Slime Brown wings to Blood Dolls (I am a red walker addict), and changing a few other things as well. It’s all an experiment and the goal keeps changing but it makes bundle checking exciting!

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9s
I have a series of Appreciation eyes and I’m making themed dogs based on the eyes. So Police dogs for Law Enforcement Appreciation; Fire dogs for Fire Fighter Appreciation, etc.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Barnyard Bird?
None right now, they’re all tucked away.

What is your favorite Amaretto Breedable?
K9s without a doubt. I especially like the Schneagles and the Harlequin Great Danes. Oh and the Danbulls!

What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?
My SL hubby, sissy and I spend a lot of time exploring the SL art exhibits and builds, as well as going to clubs and listening to music and dancing, lots of dancing! I also have a fashion blog; I am trying to learn to take better pictures in SL now. We spend a lot of time with our friends too. Oh and there might be some shopping. Maybe. Possibly. Probably.

I am including some pictures of Eve’s favorite breedables.

Remember I am looking for breeders in the group to interview each week so you may be next!!

Until next week Happy Breeding!!!

It’s a “Crazed” Spotlight

Happy Thursday!! Today’s Spotlight I’m focusing on a very colorful addition to Amaretto…. The Crazed Coats!! The ability to breed for one of the Crazed Coats started in January of 2015 and so far seem to be a BIG hit with many of you in the Amaretto Community. The January Crazed Coats were the Crazed Sorrel’s and the Crazed Husky’s and they were super cute!
But…. With February’s Crazed Coats came what you all were waiting for!! The Crazed Walker’s and Crazed Beagle’s have arrived on the grid and they’re fabulous! So beginning on February 5, 2015 until March 5, 2015 you can breed any color Walker horses together for the chance of getting one of the Crazed Coat Walkers. Also on this same time frame you can breed any color Beagles together for the chance of getting one of the Crazed Coat Beagles.
The best part about the Crazed Coats is that with the horses the coat and eye DOES have the ability to pass and with the Crazed Coats in the K9s the coat, eye and collar DOES have the ability to pass! So it’s like the gift that keeps on giving!!! It’s not too late if you don’t have Walkers or Beagles breeding to try for these wonderful new coats get them birthed and get going!!
Until next time enjoy the pictures of the new Crazed Coats below and Happy Breeding!!!

This is Ava over and out! Happy Breeding to my Amaretto Family!

It’s All About That Horn

Happy Friday Everyone! Hope everyone is having a good breeding day!!

Today I want to explain to you about the Horns that are showing on horses but not showing in the stats!

We have mentioned many times in the group, if the horse has a horn on its head but it is not showing a horn in the stats it does not have a horn. To repair this horse you will need to file a ticket, because the horn that is showing does not have the ability to pass on or is considered to be a trait.

When filing a ticket on the horse that has a horn but is not in stats we will ask you to send in the mother horse also.

In other cases if horse has a horn in the stats an is not showing on the horse. You will need to file a ticket so it can be repaired with a horn. A horn in the stats does have the ability to pass and is considered a trait.

I hope this clears up any confusion or false rumors. Please remember that it is very simple to have these issues repaired with a ticket on the support system.

Happy Thursday!  Today’s Spotlight is the last installment of my series of blogs dedicated to the fabulous group moderators.  This week is I am happy to bring to you my Spotlight on our very own English rose who brings wit and wisdom to the Amaretto groups!

Trinityskye Zarco is of course the awesome moderator I’m shining the Spotlight on today!  Trinity is a fountain of knowledge in the groups helping whenever she can.  Everyone that knows Trinity knows that she’s a great help to any and all as long as they speak fluent typonese! Here are Trinity’s answers to my probing questions!!

*Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?

Hi I’m Trinityskye I’m from England; I joined second Life to be introduced to my real life sister’s boyfriend who is from America to get to know him better before he visited on holiday.

*Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?

Horses, K9 and barnyard birds

*How long have you been involved with Amaretto Breedables?

28th of September 2010

*How did you get started in breedables?

It was my birthday and Zen my RL partner wanted to buy me a motorbike and had taken me to see some. I was stood around chatting to the owners of the sim when a little foal came up and nudged me. I fell head over heels for that pony and begged Zen could I have one instead of a bike. He agreed so the foal was purchased along with some bundles and a few others. I’ve been breeding horses ever since.

*Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?

I owned fairies only two before I started with horses, and I do own some Dwarfins and some Kittycats

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?

Well I always have two coat types that I’m always breeding those are Shetlands and walkers…I love contrasts and colours…so classic Shetlands with wild hairs and hoofs and spotted Shetlands with wings and horns.

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9s?

Getting the paw polishes on my White Snow Wolves

*What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Birds?

The colours on the White Campines

*What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?

I run a flicker site so that sometimes keeps me busy, Zen and I love motorbikes so are often whizzing around on those. At the moment I’ve been on a low prim furnishing a premium  membership home as my homestead is used for my breedables .

*What is it that you enjoy most about being an Amaretto Group Moderator?

I enjoy all of it, from helping the breeders access knowledge to giving advice, even when the group has been full of people all needing help or all frustrated with similar problems ..I just love it. I can’t see me doing another job in SL that I enjoy as much as this one. It suits me and my nature of trying to help others.

I love chatting with breeders and seeing how their day was or what they have managed to breed.

I hope you have all enjoyed my Spotlights on all the fabulous Amaretto moderators!  Be sure to speak to them and tell them how awesome they are when you see them in the groups!  Just a reminder to our Amaretto Community, the Amaretto Group Moderators are not privy to any inside Amaretto information, nor are they told things in advance. They are here to help out in our groups and lend a hand when they can.  The moderators have been around a long time and have many suggestions to help when you have issues but if all else fails please file a ticket on our support system and a CSR or a member of Amaretto Staff will assist you!

Below are pictures of Trinity’s breeding areas and her selfie or course!  Until next time happy breeding!!
