Happy Thursday!  I hope everyone is having a great breeding week! I am excited to continue our journey through the Amaretto Alphabet this week because I get to talk about one of my favorite new editions to the Barnyard Birds!

L is for ………… Lakenvelder

In December of 2015 the Holiday Edition Barnyard Birds were released.  By breeding these Holiday Edition birds to any other bird you could discover what surprises they were hiding.  Those lovely surprises turned out to be the Silver Lakenvelder and the Platinum Blue Lakenvelder!  These beautiful birds are the perfect breed to begin many new projects with.  Just in case you have not seen them I have included pictures below.  I really hope just seeing these birds inspires you to give the Barnyard Birds a try and if you already have Barnyard Birds ….don’t these pictures make you want more!!!

Until next time Happy Breeding all!! Bok Bok!!Platinum_Blue_LakenvelderRooster1 Platinum_Blue_LakenvelderHen Silver_LakenvelderRooster2 Silver_LakenvelderHen2

Interview With an Amaretto Breeder

Happy Friday Everyone ! Hope everyone is having a good breeding day !

This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Crazy Folland she is in the Amaretto Group so be sure to give her a big hello, when you see her !

Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?

Hello, I am Inola and from Bavaria/Germany. I found SL by chance back in 2007. I started SL due to early Retirement and since them I am here as my true SecondLife. I surely tried a lot, did a lot, met some awesome People as Jerks too 🙂
SecondLife is my second Home and i like the things to do on here. I spend plenty of Time online hanging out with friends or now with my Horses.

Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?
I am breeding Horses only

How did you get started in breedables?
Actually i owned a club and wanted to put up a red/white Breeding Pair as a winning Price on Contest Board. As they dropped a Bundle before Contest was on, i birthed it and felt in love with the Baby. There i decided to keep the Horses and try me in breeding. Now my Club is vanished and I am only with Horses and learning from very nice and helpful Breeders, and most likely from great Auctioneers.

Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?
I only have Amaretto Horses.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?
I am not that far to call it a Project but I like the surprises what my little, most time i call them “Weirdos”, give me.

What is your favorite Amaretto Breedable ?
I like the Abaco Barbs, Piebalds, and Roan. Very nice Horses and great to add for nice appearance. Just hard to find sometimes.

What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?
I like to hang out with friends or going to Karaoke…its a great Community there and loads of fun. I still explore on SL because always something new out there to find. When i still have time i like to build for my personal usage.

So there you go ! Thank you Crazy for letting me interview you for this week Amaretto Connection !

I am including some of Crazys special Amaretto Breedables !!

Also Happy Easter on Sunday !!
Until next week Happy Breeding !!!

Happy Thursday!! We had a great time at the ARU Graduation ceremony yesterday!  Congratulations to all the graduates!!  I was thinking about where to go with the Spotlight this week since I had a few options for what K was for in the Amaretto Alphabet.  I decided to go with the one that would has a few meanings within the Amaretto World!

K is for ……………… Kindness!

The first thing I think of when I think of Kindness in the Amaretto Alphabet is how many of the Amaretto Community are so generous and kind with the new members of the community.  Giving of their time and expertise of Amaretto breedables and being ever so kind to help the new members get started in this wonderful world of Amaretto.  The Amaretto Community is truly the best there is!

The other thing that I hope you all think about when you think of kindness in regards to Amaretto breedables are the Heavenly Kindness animals!  In June of 2015 during the Summer Fest Auction these amazing OOAK Seven Heavenly Virtues animals were auctioned off and became the start of this awesome new line of Heavenly Virtue and Deadly Sin animals.

These wonderful OOAK horses where hiding the Heavenly Kindness breed and Tolerance eyes which both had the ability to pass!  The OOAK K-9’s were hiding the Heavenly Kindness breed, Tolerance eye and the Kindness Collar.  The OOAK Barnyard birds were hiding the Heavenly Kindness breed, Tolerance eye and Kindness Leg.  So this means that Kindness was able to spread throughout all the breedable community!

So remember if you need a little kindness in your life you can always turn to the Kindness horse, Kindness K-9 or Kindness bird to brighten your day or just come in one of the Amaretto groups and feel the kindness from the amazing Amaretto Community!

Have a look at the Kindness animals below and until next week Happy Breeding!!

Barnyard Bird Museum Moved!!!

Hey everyone its a Super Sunday here at the ranch! I wanted to take a few moments of your time to talk to you about the Barnyard Bird Museum!

The birds were growing so rapidly that we were running out of room to place the at the museum that we had set up for them! We decided to move the Barnyard Bird Museum collection to the same place that we currently keep the K-9s collection!

So you will have to change out those landmarks and replace them with the new one! You can now find the Barnyard Birds Museum new home just on the other side of the dog park!!!

Interview With an Amaretto Breeder

Happy Friday Everyone!! Hope everyone is having a good breeding day!
This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Monavie Voight, Monavie is in the Amaretto Groups so when you see her give her a big hello!

Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?
I’m from the USA and back in late 2006 I and several friends I met while playing The Sims Online™ decided we would all come over and try this Second Life® virtual world we had heard so much about. Then in very early January of 2007 we all moved over to this world and some of us are still here. I now live on the east coast. I love it here and my RL life permits me to work from home with my clients being around the world.
Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?
All three, the horses, dogs and birds… and soon the Ponies when they begin beta.
How did you get started in breedables?
I don’t remember exactly how I got started, but my first breedable was an Amaretto horse. When I birthed the first one from a bundle, I wanted to pick it up and squeeze and love on it! I watched it grow so quickly over the next few days and then I got more and more of them. At one time I had so many horses on my land and moved my house to another sim to make room for more horses. I have had many favorites that I loved over the years and yet there’s always new ones coming out that I love also. I will say that the new upcoming Ponies are going to make that part of me happy that always wished the horses would stay little like they were right after being born. Thank you, Amaretto!
Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?
Yes, I do own a few, but just as pets to help fill out the home-farm theme, not for breeding.
What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?
I’m raising a few horses, and I have some retired horses as pets, but I have made lots of room for the new Ponies when they come out. This will be my new project and being part of the beta team will be so much fun. I’m finally graduating later this month with the rest of the graduates from the Amaretto Ranch University, and whatever wonderful horse we get from that will be a new project for me, too.
What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9s?
I have always loved breeding the wolves since the first time I got one from a pair of Valentine Pugs. I love all three wolves the white, black and grey and especially when they howl.
What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Barnyard Birds?
I don’t have any current projects going on with the birds; I don’t have them breeding but more as part of the home-farm kind of thing.
What is your favorite Amaretto Breedable?
My little Chi Chi (Chihuahua) is my fave! She’s so adorable and she’s a pet that is always around me. The wolves are my other fave followed by the horses. I always have horses out even if just as pets.
What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?
I am leaning to choreograph dance routines for a couple of the best troupes in Second Life. There are so many that are awesome though, so when I’m not performing I am watching the other troupe’s performances. I am organizing a television show for real world based on the dance troupes in SL® and that is taking up a lot of my time. I have very close friends and they are like family in SL and a multitude of friends. I love them all dearly. Having been in SL for over nine years, I’ve done a lot of things and am always looking to try new experiences. It never gets too old and I’m rarely ever bored. There’s always something to do or see here.

I have included some pictures of Monavie’s special Amaretto Breedables.
Thank you Monavie for letting me interview you this week!

Until next week Happy Breeding!!

Spotlight on the Amaretto Alphabet …. J is for ….

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!! I hope everyone is having a great day!  Make sure you have gone over to the Amaretto stores and get your 2016 St. Patrick’s Day Edition animals to celebrate!!

We are going to continue our journey through the Amaretto Alphabet today by adding a little “class”.

J is for ……….. Jester and Juliet! These awesome Barnyard Bird Classes are a very helpful addition to the bird traits.

The Jester Class is a non-starter class trait.  The benefits of  having the Jester class is that the Barnyard Birds vivacity will never go below 75%.  The Jester class does have the ability to pass.

The Juliet Class is a non-starter class trait also.  The benefits of having the Juliet class is that this class actually gives the Barnyard Bird an extra breeding cycle!  The Juliet class does have the ability to pass.

You can see all the Classes possible in the Barnyard Birds by visiting this link:

http://wiki3.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Bird_Class

Until next week, Happy Breeding!!!
