Suggestions Wanted!

Happy Hump Day Fellow Breeders!

Have you ever had an idea pop into your head that you think would make a great design for an Amaretto Horse, K-9, Barnyard Bird or Ponie Pal? Perhaps, there is a topic you’d like to have more information about in a Connection?  If so, let me tell you how you can share those creative thoughts, ideas and suggestions with us!

For design ideas, simply jot down the details on a notecard. Save the notecard and then drag and drop it into a suggestion box located at any Amaretto food store. Look for the big blue mailboxes!

You can find Amaretto store locations here: http://amarettobreedables.com/pages/locations

Suggestions can, also, be submitted through the ticket system. Log into the Amaretto support website at http://support.amarettobreedables.com, click on Submit A Ticket. Then, on the Select a department page, choose Suggestions/Questions and hit the Next button.

On the next page, add your SL User Name, put your suggestion in the subject box and Submit!

All suggestions, from both the mailboxes and the ticket system, are reviewed by the owners and management on a daily basis. Please understand though, that while we value your suggestions and design input, they may not all be used. However, a lot of the designs and traits you see have come from suggestions from our community members!

Lastly, if you have a topic you’d like to see spotlighted in a future connection, just put it on a notecard and send it to me, Blush Topaz.  I’ll try my best to get all your topics covered!

Amaretto loves hearing from you! Until next time…HAPPY BREEDING!

It’s Time To Wind It Up!

Happy Monday everyone and I hope you all had an amazing weekend! Today I wanted to take a moment to talk to you ll about the beautiful Sanctuary bird Wind it Up. Amaretto Breedables offers a reward system called Bird Sanctuary. When you send your Barnyard Bird to Bird Sanctuary you will receive a number of points based on the number of traits and age for a particular Barnyard Bird. Once you have accumulated enough points, you can use these points to purchase an array of items from the Bird Sanctuary Vendor such as Pet Food, Barnyard Bird Flu Shot and our unique Sanctuary Birds. Bird Sanctuary Birds will give a gradual boost to the Vivacity of birds within 10 meters over a period of time. The coats on the Wind it Up do NOT pass. However, You can have a chance at one of the exciting Non-Starter eyes by breeding any Wind it up Bird. This eye was hidden in the Wind it Up Barnyard Bird. These eyes CAN be passed on. Take a look below t the oh so cute Wind it Up Barnyard Bird!!

Happy breeding!! Don’t forget to send those unwanted Barnyard Birds and nests to Sanctuary so you can start savingor one of these Wind Up beauties!

Until next time…

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! I hope you are enjoying this stupendous Saturday.

I wanted to share some things about this day that I stumbled across during my browsing and thought you all would like. Did you know that St. Patrick’s Day is the feast day of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland and that St. Patrick was actually born in Britain.  The first St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the United States was held in Boston in 1737 and the first official parade in New York City was held in 1762.

It is also said that corned beef and cabbage is a staple at St. Patrick’s Day celebrations and that green is associated with Saint Patrick’s Day because it is the color of spring, of Ireland, and of the shamrock. And now..

A traditional Irish blessing

Just for fun…

Why can’t you borrow money from a leprechaun?

Because they’re always a little short!

What do they call the Irish jig at McDonalds?
A Shamrock Shake!

What’s a leprechaun’s favorite kind of music?
Sham-rock and roll!

What type of bow cannot be tied?
A rain-bow!

Until next time this is Snookie saying have a wonderful day and remember to wear green today or you might just get a little pinch!

Happy Breeding!

The K-9 HUD Revisited!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all are ready for a great weekend! Today I wanted to take a moment to share with you a feature for the K-9 that is often an over-looked feature that is so much fun! I am talking about the K-9 HUD! Take a look below where I tell you about this nifty little HUD!

To get a K-9 HUD you can click on any of your Amaretto K-9s and that will bring up the main menu. On the menu you will see Help.

When you click help that you will get another menu that has a button on it labeled hud.

By clicking the hud button you will receive a K-9 hud sent directly to the objects folder in your inventory.

Go to objects folder and find the hud, right click it and go to wear. It will attach to the upper left hand side of your screen. You can adjust this if you wish.

What each button on the hud means :

Black bar along the top:
Name of K-9 connected to hud

Small Black “Hide” button; when clicked will hide your K-9 hud to the left of the screen

Large half circle: States what mode your K-9 is in Fetch.

Connect button: Looks like a plug with both ends together. This is to connect your K-9 to the hud.

Disconnect button: Looks like a plug with the ends not together. This is to disconnect your K-9 from the hud.

Green ball: This button, when clicked, will bring up a menu to get a ball, stick, newspaper or leash to play fetch and/or walk with your K-9

Fetch : This button is to play fetch with your K-9

Stay : This button is to make your K-9 stay put

Come : This button will call your K-9 to come to you

Follow : This button will make your K-9 follow you

GPS : This button can be used to set your K-9s settings
Animations (avatar petting a K-9):

This button, when clicked, will bring up a menu which has petting options as well as the walk animation.

To connect your K-9 to the hud, click the K-9 and then click the hud button on the menu then click the connect button on your HUD.

Make sure your K-9s movement is set to physical before connecting to the hud.

To disconnect your K-9 from the hud click the disconnect button
To play fetch, get a fetch item from the green ball button as described above (ball, stick or newspaper) and wear it from your inventory objects folder.

Click the fetch button on the hud and go into mouse look (bottom of your screen) and left click to throw the item.

Your K-9 will run to fetch and bring it back to you. To change the range on how far you throw the item, click the item in your hand and set the range from the menu given.

To make your K-9 stay put simply click the stay button and they will stay where they are and not follow you.

To make your K-9 come to you click the come button and they will come.

To make your K-9 follow you click the follow button and they will follow where you go.

The animations button will bring up a menu to pet your K-9 or to walk them.

To pet your K-9 choose one of the different “size” animations.

To walk your K-9, wear the leash (from the green ball button) and the K-9 will connect to the leash and you can walk them around on your sim.

Give the K-9 HUD a try and see how much fun it can be to interact with your K-9!

Until next week Happy Breeding !!!

The Importance of Amaretto Ranch University

Happy Hump Day Fellow Breeders!

An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” – Benjamin Franklin

Last Friday, Amaretto Ranch University (ARU) held it’s 8th graduation. All 35 graduates are to be congratulated for their achievement. Now, its your turn! If you haven’t attended classes at ARU, what are you waiting for? You could be one of the next graduates!

ARU has many courses that are beneficial to someone just starting out in breedables and equally beneficial to the most seasoned breeders. At ARU, our main goal is to make Amaretto products understandable and enjoyable for everyone. Many people get stumped when it comes to using the racing HUD or get confused what to do when something goes wrong and they need to file a ticket. At ARU, we have the answers!

ARU is offered to the community free of charge. Classes are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9AM and 5PM, and on Saturday at 11AM. All you have to do is show up on time, submit a completed notecard after class to show attendance, and sign up on the ARU website to keep track of your course progression.

Amaretto Ranch University offers the following 47 courses:

To sign up on the ARU website, go to the Breedables Education Building (located here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Amaretto%20Ranch%20Haven/55/154/21) and touch the red terminal; type in your email address into the blue drop down box and hit submit. In your nearby chat, you will be given your user name and a temporary password.  Then go to the website at http://amarettoranchuniversity.com/index.html and enter the information. EASY PEASY!

For a monthly calendar of classes being taught check here: http://amarettobreedables.com/pages/ARUCalendar

Now all we’re missing is you!! Hope to see you in class!

Till next time…HAPPY BREEDING!
