6.03 Horse Update SL Fix!

Hello everyone! Hope that everyone is having a great Monday! We here at Amaretto have been hard at work. I know that some peoples horses have not been dropping bundles like they should, this has been very frustrating to us and you.

We have been working hard to be able to assist you in filing tickets and getting the bundle that you should have, but we know that is not enough so for some days the Amaretto Beta Testers have been testing a fix for this issue.

We feel like it is now time to roll out this fix grid wide. If you are wondering why this is happening I would suggest that you take some time to read the lindens blog here:
https://community.secondlife.com/blogs/entry/2683-parentchild-object-script-communications/

This is the issue that has been causing havoc with our horses.

So here we are releasing this mandatory update in which we hope will solve this issue for everyone!

Welcome 6.03!
Update v6.03 Fixes:

    Fixes:
  1. Fixed NEVER_RECEIVED_MOTHER_COMMUNICATION bundle error
  2. Fixed bundles not birthing completely leaving little white horses
  3. Fixed texts turning off when mother drops a bundle

Remember guys this update is only technical meaning there are no new traits, or surprises, this is to fix the breeding issue that many of you have been having.

AFTER Jan 1, 2020 WE WILL NO LONGER PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR HORSES THAT ARE NOT v6.03 HORSES MUST BE UPDATED TO V6.03 TO FUNCTION PROPERLY!

Q: What do you mean by “not function properly”?
A: ALL versions that are not v6.03 will no longer produce viable offspring. Meaning any bundle produced by all versions that are not v6.03 will have the text BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS, or EXPIRED_BREEDING, will not birth and cannot be fixed.

If you have any problems while updating, please file a ticket and we will be here to help in every way we can! Go get your updater and update your horses! I am excited that this will be available to everyone! Happy updating everyone!

Hue Traits In Horses

Hello to all my fellow Amaretto Breeders!
I hope that everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

Today it’s my turn to post a connection, and I would like to take a moment to talk about Hues in the horses.

Wiki Link Here

These hue traits can be put on the hair and the coat of any horse and give a unique look to it and it is worth experimenting to see what you can come up with, whether it is mixing the coat chill with a blue coat and making a super blue horse or mixing the coat hue teal with a red coat to make a super deep dark green horse… the possibilities are endless, so try them out!

That’s all from me. So check the hues out, mix them up, get creative and enjoy the results of what you come up with.

Happy Breeding, Hugs Marku.

My Little Ponies!

Shetland ponies originated in the Shetland Isles, located northeast of mainland Scotland. Small horses have been kept on the Shetland Isles since the Bronze Age. People who lived on the islands probably later crossed the native stock with ponies imported by Norse settlers. Shetland ponies also were probably influenced by the Celtic pony, brought to the islands by settlers between 2000 and 1000 BCE. The harsh climate and scarce food developed the ponies into extremely hardy animals that are the strongest for their size of any of the horse breeds.

Shetland ponies were first used for pulling carts, carrying peat, coal and other items, and plowing farm land. Then, as the Industrial Revolution increased the need for coal in the mid-19th century, thousands of Shetland ponies travelled to mainland Britain to be pit ponies, working underground hauling coal, often for their entire (often short) lives. Coal mines in the eastern United States also imported some of these animals. The last pony mine in the United States closed in 1971.

Shetland ponies are generally gentle, good-tempered, and very intelligent by nature. They make good children’s ponies, and are sometimes noted for having a “brave” character. They can be very opinionated or “cheeky”, and can be impatient, snappy, and sometimes become uncooperative. Due in part to their intelligence and size, they are easily spoiled and can be very headstrong if not well-trained.

In April of 2011, Amaretto brought out Tobiano Shetland ponies, a two color pony with a base coat of white, that could be gotten from breeding any new starter coats.

In October 2011 came the Classic shetlands with solid color coats.

In June 27, 2014 Amaretto was pleased to present another Graduating class of Amaretto Ranch University (ARU) with special horses as graduation gifts, the Graduation Shetland Red and Black. The coats couldn’t pass but The A.R.U. Tobiano Shetland Strength and The A.R.U. Tobiano Shetland Honor came from the breeding of any 2014 A.R.U. Graduation Shetland Red or 2014 A.R.U. Graduation Shetland Black. Those shetlands COULD pass their coats.

When the version 5.0 Horse update came out on September 3, 2014 Amaretto introduced Spotted Shetlands. These little cuties look like they have measles!

Although the tobiano shetlands and classic shetlands are out to pasture, they can still be bred from existing lines, which is fantastic because they are all so darn cute!

Hold Me Please

Did you know you could hold your Amaretto Breedables and it serves a dual purpose? Not only are they as cute as the dickens, but holding the dogs, birds and ponie pals, can save on consumables AND increase their happiness. It’s basicly the same as riding the horses, which saves on salt and increases happiness. To hold the ponie pals, just pick them up and add from inventory. They attach to your right arm, and you can hold more than one at a time by adding more and sliding them into position.

To have them walk beside you, hit menu and select wear, then walk, and say yes on the drop down.

To hold the birds click for the menu, select attach, hold, say yes to the drop down menu, then select hen, rooster or chick. To set them back down, select detach in inventory and rerez. You can attach more than one bird at a time. There is also an option to have them walk beside you

To hold the dogs, pick up the dog, add it, then select holding from the menu, and large, normal, or tiny. There is also an option to play fetch with the dog, or have it walk beside you, which was covered in another connection.

Have fun holding your breedables, and show them off to your friends, as you don’t need to be able to rez to take them with you.
