Putting Confection Rumors to Rest

Happy Hump Day Fellow Breeders!

Recently, a rumor got started that there were new Confection coats for the horses, in particular, a Gummy Bear coat. The purpose of today’s Connection is to inform you of the facts and put rumors to rest.

First, let’s look at a brief history of the Confection eyes. On January 30, 2012, Amaretto released the 3.2 horse update. Hidden in the new starters for that update were six all-new Confection eyes: Chocolate Cherry, Cotton Candy, Honeycomb, Lollipop, Spun Sugar and Tutti Frutti.*

Confection eyes first appeared in starters from the 3.2 horse update.

Six more confection eyes were added from starters with the 4.0 update on September 9, 2013: Cinnamon Roll, Double Mint, Licorice Roll, Red Velvet, Sprinkled Donut and Sweet Tart.

Six more Confection eyes were hidden in 4.0 update starters.

When Amaretto’s had its 4th Birthday on September 1, 2014, six OOAK Confection Coats were introduced. From those new coats came the Devil’s Food, Hot Fudge Sundae, Lemon Meringue Pie, Pink Cotton Candy, Red Velvet Cake, and Strawberry Shortcake eyes.

While these OOAK’s did not pass their coats, the eyes were passable. Additionally, at the Birthday party, it was announced that if you bred any of the new or existing Confection eyes together you had a chance to get one of these six Confection coats for your very own!

Shortly thereafter, four more Confection eyes were added to starters, with the release of the 5.0 update on September 13, 2014. These eyes were: Chocolate Eclair, Cookies N Cream, Double Chocolate Cake and Gummy Bears.

Even more Confection eyes hit the grid from 5.0 update starter horses.

And, if that wasn’t enough sweet Confections, four additional Confection eyes were introduced from the new starters for the 6.01 update on April 27, 2019. These were: Banana Split, Caramel Swirl, Cherry Pie and Jelly Beans.

The latest addition to the Confection eyes came from the 6.01 starters.

*Also with the 6.01 update, the Chocolate Cherry, Cotton Candy, Honeycomb and Lollipop eyes were put out to pasture. This only means that those eyes will no longer drop from new starter horses. They can still be used for breeding to try your chance at a Confection Coat.

So, to recap, breeding any of the 26 Confection eyes together will still only give you a chance at one of 6 Confection coats.

Remember, Confection coats drop purely at random, so one eye has no better chance than another and can not predetermine which coat you could receive. Confection horses can NOT pass their coat. However, breeding a Confection horse with another Confection horse or with any other horse with Confection eyes you will slightly increase your chance for another Confection horse.

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a Terrific Taco Tuesday! I am super excited to announce something to everyone!

In previous years Amaretto had a lot of fun fund raising for lots of different charities and causes, I know how much you guys love to do this and make it a success every time. Its been a while so im super excited to tell you that Amaretto is doing a fund raising again!

This is something that a lot of you have been asking for!

So what charity has Amaretto picked this time? I am pleased to announce that Amaretto will be participating for the first time in the HullabaZoo!

What is HullabaZoo??
HullabaZoo is all about animals and creatures. It’s more than a shopping event and will have classes, a quest, contests, photo ops, parties, and more. Best of all we’re raising money for a great cause! HullabaZoo is an annual event and we would love it to become the BIGGEST creature event of the year – one that you look forward to, get excited about and look forward to it’s return each year!

HullabaZoo isn’t a mainstream fashion event with an “animals” theme so you won’t find zebra-print nails, or paw print T’shirts for human avatars. You will find creature avatars, pets, rideables, props and mods as well as accessories and mods for those creatures.

What charity does HullabaZoo donate to?
Every year HullabaZoo will choose a charity to donate to. Having worked in large and small animal charities over the years it was really important to us that we choose charities that have a proven record of putting the money where it is most needed within their charitable focus. Too many large charities use donated funds to pay bloated salaries or for activities that are contradictory to the charities aims. Too many small charities waste their donations due to incompetence within the organizations. HullabaZoo will scrutinize and choose the charities we donate to very carefully to ensure that all the funds raised by the event go to where they should.

For our inaugural 2020 event we have chosen the Jane Goodall Institute.

It’s Time To Get Shady!

Today I would like to take a moment to talk about shades in the Barnyard Birds!

On October 28th, 2013 Amaretto released the 2013 Collectors Edition Halloween Barnyard Birds! Any breeding of these 2013 Collectors Edition Halloween Barnyard Birds gave a chance at getting one of the hidden surprises. These surprises were the Shades Slime, Panic, and Pumpkin!

On Monday December 18, 2013 Amaretto released the 2013 Holiday Barnyard Birds! Any breeding of these 2013 Holiday Barnyard Birds gave a chance at getting one of the hidden surprises. These surprises were the Shades Fire and Frost!

On February 9, 2015 Amaretto released the Valentines Day Collectors Edition Barnyard Birds. By breeding these 2015 Valentines Day Collectors Edition together they gave a chance at getting one of the hidden surprises. These surprises were the shades Love and Sunshine!

These traits are one of my favorites in the barnyard birds because it can completely change the look of a breed, for example if you mix a red breed with the slime shade you get a super dark green colour – this is only one of many combinations you can try out.

There is lots of fun to be had with mixing these shades with different breeds to see how they look.

Just look at that Face!

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday!! I hope you all had a great Valentine’s Day!

Today the spotlight is shining on the cute Face Markings trait for our Ponie Pals! The Face Markings trait comes from breeding “Starter Style” together or one starter with any other Ponie.

From December 14, 2017 to Wednesday December 28, 2017 Amaretto celebrated with 2017 Christmas Edition ponies! These ponies were hiding Icicle & Winter Snowflake Face Markings!

Spring Editions were available from March 20th, 2018 to Tuesday April 3, 2018! Hiding inside these Spring Editions was the Daisy & Butterfly Face Marking!

Summer Editions were available from August 9, 2018 to Friday August 24, 2018! Hiding inside these Summer Editions was the Sol and Crescent Face Marking!!

On Dec.4, 2018 Amaretto released a second round of Gacha Ponies! Hiding inside these were the Chuckle, Specs and Oopsy Poopsy Face Marking!

On Thursday, November 22 any basket dropped could have the possibility to randomly get a new face marking Falling Leaves!

On March 9th 2019 Amaretto celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with 2019 Deluxe Edition Luck of the Irish animals that you could purchase until March 22nd, 2019. These Horses were hiding the Clover face marking!

On Sept 19th, 2019 Amaretto released 2019 International Day of Peace animals, hiding in the ponie was the Peace Face Marking!

Happy Valentine’s Day

It’s Valentine’s Day! Happy February 14th! Chocolate and cards and flowers! Where exactly does the tradition of giving gifts and cards on this particular day come from?

Valentine’s Day flowers began as a tradition in the 17th century, since roses, which represent love in all its forms, were the flowers of choice for the Day. The rose is supposed to be the favorite flower of Venus, the Goddess of Love.
Throughout school, we all gave cards to our classmates, but where did this tradition of Valentine’s Day cards begin? Well, back in 1415, Charles the Duke of Orleans wrote a poem for his wife while imprisoned in the Tower of London on Valentine’s Day. By the 16th century, cards had become so common on Valentine’s Day that several religious leaders preached against them. By the early 19th century, it was the most popular way to show your love on the special day.
What would Valentine’s Day be without chocolate? Well we can thank the Spanish explorers who brought chocolate back to the Old World from the New World in the 17th century. Soon enough the popularity increased in Europe and chocolate, possibly for its aphrodisiac effects, became the candy of choice for the lover’s holiday.

Amaretto brought us Valentine LEs starting in 2011, with a random drop of That’s Love, That’s Amor, That’s Amore and That’s Amour LEs. The coats could not pass.

This began a long tradition of random drops or purchasable Limited Edition Horses, Special Edition K-9s, Collectors Edition Barnyard Birds and Deluxe Edition Ponie Pals. Along with those came other traits in horses like wings, brands, socks, horns, saddles, and ear tips! In K-9s we added new collars, new nose traits, new Paw Warmers, new Dipped Ears, and in 2019 the new Dipped Tail trait. From the Valentine Barnyard birds we got new beaks and legs, the Wing trait, new Shades and in 2019 the Whacky Wattle! The Valentine Ponie Pals gave us wings, and new horns! 2020 Gachas have arrived!!

Get The Ball Rolling!

Happy Hump Day Fellow Breeders!

To get the ball rolling is one of those sports idioms that means, essentially, to start an endeavor. I’m sure a lot of you have heard it, as well as many other sport-related phrases. That’s because most people like sports.

People like sports because it’s exciting. People like sports because, like the theater, it is a venue for emotional expression. People like sports because they need an escape from real-world troubles. People like sports because it provides a sense of belonging, a connection to a wider world.

Some of us even go a step further and express our love for the game. We love sports because they bring out the best in us. Sports make us courageous, confident, and strong. We love sports because they teach us about perseverance, hard work, and the value of both winning and losing. We love sports because we love development and growth. Even Scientists have found that being a sports fan can be good for your emotional, psychological and social health.

Nelson Mandela said it best, “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. It speaks to youth in a language they understand. Sport can create hope where once there was only despair. It is more powerful than government in breaking down racial barriers.”

On October 28, 2015, Version 2.0 of the K-9s was released and these Non-Starter Eyes were added! The Sports Eyes are one set of many exciting possible Non-Starter eyes that can come from breeding “Starter Coats”. You can have a chance at one of these exciting Non-Starter Sports eyes by breeding any K-9 with a starter K-9 or by breeding together two starter K-9s.
These eyes CAN be passed on.

3.01 Mastiffs!

Hey everyone! Its a Terrific Tuesday here at Amaretto! I wanted to take some more time, and spotlight more new K9s that were released in the 3.01 update.

If you purchased new starters you had a chance to get one of these awesome new Mastiffs!

Spotlight on the Lab!

Hello everyone! Its another Manic Monday and we have all almost made it! There has been so much new stuff going on lately I am afraid I have not done the best job of keeping up!

Lets talk K9s for a bit theres gonna be a lot of that happening lol! I dont mind!

So with the 3.01 update there were some new starters released and I wanted to spotlight the first one! The Lab!

There are 4 colors of the Lab:

Red Lab
Yellow Lab

You can get a Lab by birthing any new starters! The Lab breed does have the ability to pass!
