Happy Breeding!!

The Amazing Saddlebred

The American Saddlebred is a horse breed from the United States. This breed was referred to as the “Horse America Made”. Descended from riding-type horses bred at the time of the American Revolution, the American Saddlebred includes the Narragansett Pacer, Canadian Pacer, Morgan and Thoroughbred among its ancestors. Developed into its modern type in Kentucky, it was once known as the “Kentucky Saddler”. Since the formation of the US registry, almost 250,000 American Saddlebreds have been registered, and can now be found around the world, with separate breed registries established in Great Britain, Australia, continental Europe, and southern Africa. Saddlebreds are known for their sense of presence and style, as well as for their spirited, yet gentle, temperament. They are considered a gaited breed, as some Saddlebreds are bred and trained to perform four-beat ambling gaits, one being a “slow gait” that historically was one of three possible ambling patterns, and the much faster rack.

Solid Color Saddlebred

They may be of any color, including pinto patterns, which have been acknowledged in the breed since the late 1800s. The first-known pinto Saddlebred was a stallion foaled in 1882. In 1884 and 1891, two additional pintos, both mares, were foaled. These three horses were recorded as “spotted”, but many other pinto Saddlebreds with minimal markings were recorded only by their base color, without making note of their markings. This practice continued into the 1930s, at which time breeders came to be more accepting of “colored” horses and began recording markings and registering horses as pinto.

Spotted Saddlebred

The Saddlebred has been called the “world’s most beautiful horse” by admirers, and is known as the “peacock of the horse world”. In 1985, the American Saddlebred was put on a 22 cent stamp. Even Breyer model horses has a Saddlebred!

With the 4.0 horse update, Amaretto brought out their new starter, the Amaretto Saddlebred, which came in four “spotted” colors-black, brown, cream and grey. These starter coats are available in starter, breeder and rancher packs at the Amaretto Horse stores. They each come with possible hidden coats and traits. The hidden coats/traits may or may not be Non-Starter. When breeding new starters together, it is important to remember that the hidden coats/traits may or may not drop in the first bundle or even the last bundle. You just never know!

The Race is ON!

Happy Pre Friyay Everyone !! Hope everyone is having a good breeding day !

This week i want to tell you all about racing Amaretto Horses.

You are now Training your horse ( XP gain only occurs while you are moving with the horse)

Click Training in the Racing Menu again to Exit Training ( Training will also end automatically when the horse has reached its daily limit based on its stamina class)

You can only train your horse ONCE daily for the amount of time allotted by the Horses Class and only in one category (speed or stamina)per day.
Ex. I trained my Class D horse for 30 minutes on speed today so I will have to wait for 24 hours before I can train it again for stamina.

Speed means the sprinting speed of a horse.

Speed is ranked using the following Class system:
S = 3x Avie Run Speed (ARS) {Highest Possible Class} 50 minutes of training time
A = 2.5x ARS 45 minutes of training time
B = 2x ARS 40 minutes of training time
C = 1.5x ARS 35 minutes of training time
D = ARS {Lowest Possible Class}30 minutes of training time
STAMINA
Stamina = The amount of time a horse can sprint without recharging . Stamina is ranked using the following Class system:
S = 50s of sprinting and 50 minutes of training time
A = 45s of sprinting and 45 minutes of training time
B = 40s of sprinting and 40 minutes of training time
C = 35s of sprinting and 35 minutes of training time
D = 30s of sprinting and 30 minutes of training time
Class D is where horses start
Classes S,A,B,C, and D are trainable and passable
XP

XP is gained through training your horse in a given field (speed or stamina) to move from one class to the next you must train from 0% to 100% in the current Class of that field.
XP Gains as follows:
Class D gains XP @ .5% per minute of training
Class C gains XP @ .4% per minute of training
Class B Gains XP @ .3% per minute of training
Class A Gains XP @ .1% per minute of training
Class D is where horses start
Classes S,A,B,C, and D are trainable and passable.

**It is important to note that once a horse with racing traits is retired (pass the age of 120 days) not only will it be unable to breed, but you will also not be able to train or race a retired horse. **

Until next week Happy Breeding Everyone, this is Ava over and out!

It’s A Dog Day!

Happy Hump Day Breeders!

Every August 26th has been designated Dog Day to bring attention to all real-life dogs, regardless of breed. It is a catalyst for rescue and adoption, but, we’re going to use it, today, to put the spotlight on the Amaretto K-9s.

A BRIEF HISTORY!
In September 2010, Amaretto Ranch Breedables, LLC, took the SL grid by storm when they released the Amaretto horses. The Amaretto horse quickly became the top breedable of Second Life. To add to that success, in August 2011, the Amaretto K-9s came barking in and they’ve not stopped yet!

A VARIETY OF BREEDS AND TRAITS!
Over the years, the K-9s have been updated and traits added. Starting at just 3 possible non-starter traits, currently, at version 3.01, K-9s can have a maximum trait count of 18! Plus, we sure have seen a lot of beautiful K-9s; from best in show, twist, crazed, zodiac, elemental, and craved right up to the new coveted coats. To get more details on Amaretto K-9 breeds and traits, visit the K-9 Wiki.

K-9S ARE INTERACTIVE!
Breed them, keep them as a pet, or make them a perpetual puppy after they retire, whatever you choose Amaretto K-9s are so much fun! And, they’re interactive! Using their HUD, your dogs can follow you like a companion, be lead on a leash, and play fetch with a ball!

Wishing everyone a Happy Dog Day and Happy Amaretto K-9 Breeding!

Happy Breeding!

Bok Bok!

In October 2018, Amaretto released the 3.0 bird update in Barnyard birds which included 4 brand new breeds of chicken, the Sebright, White Laced Red Cornish, Sussex Bantam, and Black Australorp. These are all based on actual breeds that have distinct coloration. Three of the breeds came from England and one from Australia, although its roots are from England also.

The Sebright chicken is a British breed of bantam chicken. It is a true bantam – a miniature bird with no corresponding large version – and is one of the oldest recorded British bantam breeds. It is named after Sir John Saunders Sebright, who created it as an ornamental breed by selective breeding in the early nineteenth century. As a largely ornamental chicken, they lay tiny, white eggs and are not kept for meat production.

White Laced Red Cornish chickens originated in Cornwall, England from Red Aseels, Black Breasted Red Old English and Malays. … White Laced Red Cornish chicks are light red and white mixed on most of the body. The Cornish chicken will produce a very small amount of eggs over their lifetime because they weren’t bred for breakfast—they are a dinner bird for sure. However, the eggs they do lay are small and light brown.

The Sussex Bantam originated in Britain in around 1920 and is a dwarfed version of the Sussex. It has a rectangular body shape, medium long tail feathers, broad, deep breast, red earlobes and a featherless face. The comb is medium sized and single. These birds like most bantams lay white eggs.

he last breed introduced with the update was from Australia, the Black Austalorp. Developed from Black Orpingtons imported from England, the Australorp was bred for egg production without sacrificing too much in size and meat quality. Some sensational results were made in the Australian program with one hen setting a laying record of 364 eggs in 365 days. To this day, Black Australorps are still one of the best light brown egg layers of all the heavy breeds. They were introduced in the United States in the 1920s.

All four of these exciting breeds came out with the 3.0 update and can be gotten by breeding any bird with a starter bird or by breeding together two starter birds. The coats CAN be passed on.
