EXPIRED BREEDING or BAD DATA NO PARENTS Offspring!

Hello everyone and Happy Halloween!! I wanted to take some time to talk to you all about something that I noticed has been coming up in the group lately and remind you all about expired breeding!

You have found the perfect pair of your favorite amaretto animals birthed and feed and are ready to breed! Then your waiting the entire pregnancy if there is one and awaiting your prized off spring, its drops and you click on it and it says EXPIRED_BREEDING or BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS and will not birth. No it doesn’t mean your OS is an orphan!

Oh NO!!! What did you do wrong? What happened? Well lets look at a couple reasons you may get a bundle with this text EXPIRED_BREEDING or BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS.

The #1 reason why you will receive a bundle that says EXPIRED_BREEDING or BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS is because your horses are not the latest current version. For you to get viable bundles you must be breeding the most current version which is currently 6.03 for horses.

If you relieve a kennel, nest or a basket that says BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS is because your k9, birds or ponies are not the latest current version. For you to get viable Kennels and baskets you you must be breeding the most current version which is currently Version 3.1 for K9s, Version 3.0 Birds , Ducks 1.1 and Version 2.00 for Ponies.

There could be 2 reasons why you might receive a nest that says EXPIRED_BREEDING or BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS the first one being the above mentioned if your birds are not Version 3.0 you will not get a viable nest. The 2nd reason why this may happen is if your birds cycles are not showing the correct amount or showing a negative cycle count.

So what do you do ? Well its simple all you have to update your breedable and breed them again if it is a Ponie or a bird updating it will give you the cycle or descendant back. If your Barnyard Bird has a negative cycle count and is the latest current version you will need to send in the rooster and the hen so that we can repair both of them and get you back on the breeding track! It doesn’t matter what animal you are breeding we will not be able to give you an viable offspring for your EXPIRED_BREEDING or BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS Offspring!

Remember if ever in doubt just ask we are always here to help!

Until next time this is Snookie hoping everyone has a wonderful weekend and a great week ahead!

Happy breeding!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Tomorrow is Halloween, October 31st. We associate the holiday with candy, costumes, witches and goblins and ghouls, oh MY! But where did it start? For the Celts, who lived during the Iron Age in what is now Ireland, Scotland, the U.K. and other parts of Northern Europe, Samhain-pronounced “sow-wen”(meaning literally, in modern Irish, “summer’s end”) marked the end of summer and kicked off the Celtic new year. The Celtic year was divided into two halves — light and dark, which were delineated by two of their four annual fire festivals. In between, rituals or ceremonies were celebrated marking solstices (when night is either the shortest or longest) or equinoxes (when day and night are equal). Samhain, the fire festival that marked the beginning of the dark half of the year, is situated between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice. During this festival, the world of the gods “was believed to be made visible to humankind,” leading to supernatural tricks and trouble; ghosts of the dead and spirits from the Otherworld were also thought to return to the earth during Samhain. Tricks and pranks were often played, but blamed on fairies and spirits during the three-day period when the line between the two worlds blurred.
The practices of this fire festival evolved over time — most notably with the spread of Christianity and the Catholic church, by 43 A.D., following Rome conquering most of the Celtic lands. during this time, many of Celtic traditions were reframed with a Christian narrative in an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of the pagan practices while spreading the new religion. That reframing created many of the Halloween traditions that people still participate in today. It was May 13 in the year 609 that Pope Boniface IV declared a celebration called All Saints’ Day, also called All-hallows or All-hallowmas in Middle English; the day before it was thus known as All-hallows’ Eve. The offerings of food and goods to protect themselves from spirits and ancestral ghosts became offerings of food and drink to the poor, displays of generosity and goodwill. And the tricks and pranks attributed to otherworldly and evil spirits manifested themselves in the spirit of the saints.
Eventually, All-hallows’ Eve evolved into Halloween, becoming more popular in secular culture than All Saints’ Day. The pagan-turned-Christian practices of dressing up in costume, playing pranks and handing out offerings have evolved into popular traditions even for those who may not believe in otherworldly spirits or saints. However, whether Halloween celebrants know it or not, they’re following the legacy of the ancient Celts who, with the festival of Samhain, celebrated the inevitability of death and rebirth.

On October 24, 2011, Amaretto created the Breast Cancer Awareness horses to raise money for a Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser. 100% of the proceeds were given directly to Making Strides for Breast Cancer to benefit the American Cancer Society. Two of the horses in the 4 pack were the Boo-Bee Horse and the Hooter Horse. Although they don’t say Halloween in the names, they have a Halloweeny design lol. They had ghost and hallow moon eyes, and the Boo-Bee even had a stinger for a tail!

Between October 9, 2012 and October 14, 2012, Amaretto released the Limited Edition Fright Night Horses. The coats and eyes did not pass, but they gave us Wild Hair traits, which can pass.

On October 28th, 2013 Amaretto released the 2013 Limited Edition Halloween Horses, the Zombie Clydesdale, Mummy Fell Pony and the Spooky Painted which each came with their own eyes. the coats couldn’t pass, but the eyes could. You can see these coats here.

https://horse.amaretto.wiki/index.php?title=2013_Limited_Edition_Halloween_Horses

On October 24th, 2014 Amaretto wanted to celebrate Halloween with some 2014 Limited Edition Halloween Horses. Any breeding of them could possibly get new wings Bloody White, Bloody Green, Toxic Slime Brown, Toxic Slime Black, also 2 new horns Bloody Spirit and Bloody Shadow. The coats could not pass but the eyes could.

October 16th, 2015 brought us a new set of Halloween LEs, which included the adorable Take Me To Your Leader shetland, and again 3 new sets of eyes that could pass.

The 2016 Halloween LEs were inspired by scary movies, Saw and Chucky. They held hidden surprises. These surprises were the Horn Candy Corn, Horn Witchy, Horn Spooky, and Horn Purple People Eater.

The 2017 Halloween LE was the spoooky Vampire Bat horse with the All Hallows Eve eye. Again, the coat doesnt pass, but the eye can.

2018 and you guessed it, Amaretto gave us the Superstition horses, Chilling, Creepy, Ghostly and Ominous, with matching Skull eyes that could pass.

To celebrate Halloween in October 16th, 2019 the scary Creepy Clown and Headless Horse Halloween editions were released. They brought to mind the clown from Stephen King’s IT and the Headless Horseman of Sleepy hollow movies for some. There was also a bit of confusion, because how could a horse with no head have an eye! That could pass??! It was a mystery until the eye started dropping.

This year Amaretto did not let us down. They created the Halloween Enchanter Rising and Moonlight LEs, with Ghoulish and Punkin eyes. These are still available til November 2nd and hold surprises for lucky breeders!

Each year Amaretto designers wrack their brains and creative juices to keep us supplied in interesting Halloween LEs. Next time you see them in chat give them a Hey Howdy and a big Thank You!

Blancos and Mutts!

Hey everyone what a terrific Tuesday! Hope everyone is having a great day!

Today I wanted to take a moment to talk to you about Blanco and Mutt K9s!!
What is a blanco?Well Blanco’s are K-9s that come from breeding two K-9s of the same color coats together. For example, breeding two Tan Tri-Color Beagles together could produce a Blanco Beagle.

Whats a Mutt?
Mutts are what you have a chance of getting when you breed two FULL siblings together. In order to be FULL Siblings both K-9s must have the same mother and father. Now even though the Mutt coat DOES NOT have the ability to be passed on, the Mutt eyes DO have the ability to be passed on.

You can read more and see pics of the Blacons and Mutts by visiting our
wiki page at this link http://wiki2.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=K-9_Coats

I love all these K-9s and the special stuff they have! Until next time this is Ava over and out!

Wiener Dogs!

The dachshund, also known as the wiener dog, badger dog, or sausage dog, is a short-legged, long-bodied, hound-type dog breed. They may be smooth, wire, or long-haired. The standard sized dachshund was developed to scent, chase, and flush out badgers and other burrow-dwelling animals, while the miniature dachshund was bred to hunt small animals such as rabbits and mice. In the Western United States, they have also been used to track wounded deer and hunt prairie dogs. Dachshunds also participate in conformation shows, field trials and many other events organized through pure-bred dog organizations such as the American Kennel Club (AKC). According to the AKC, the dachshund is ranked 12th in popularity among dog breeds in the United States in 2018.

Smooth, Long-haired and Wire haired

Dachshunds are playful, but as hunting dogs can be quite stubborn, and are known for their propensity for chasing small animals, birds, and tennis balls with great determination and ferocity. Dachshunds are often stubborn, making them a challenge to train. They can have a loud bark. Some bark quite a lot and may need training to stop, while others will not bark much at all. Dachshunds are known for their devotion and loyalty to their owners, though they can be standoffish towards strangers. They are known for their devotion and loyalty to their owners, though they can be standoffish towards strangers.
The dachshund is a creation of German breeders and includes elements of German, French, and English hounds and terriers. Dachshunds have been kept by royal courts all over Europe, including that of Queen Victoria, who was particularly enamored of the breed. Dachshunds are one of the most popular dogs in the United States, ranking 13th in the 2016 AKC registration statistics. They are popular with urban and apartment dwellers, ranking among the top 10 most popular breeds in 76 of 190 major US cities surveyed by the AKC.

When Amaretto released the 2.0 update in dogs on October 28, 2015, one of the new coats was the Smooth Dachshund as one set of many exciting possible Non-Starter coats that can come from breeding Starter Coats. The Dachshund coat CAN be passed on. They come in 4 colors, but maybe we can hope for brindle or dapple in the future! Or maybe even long haired!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Hello everyone hope that everyone is having a terrific Tuesday! I just remembered that this month is BCA Awareness month!

Breast cancer is the most common cancer that women may face in their lifetime. It can occur at any age, but the risk goes up as you get older. Because of certain factors, some women may have a greater chance of having breast cancer than others. Every woman should know about breast cancer and what can be done about it.  And, the good news is that most women can survive breast cancer if it’s found and treated early. A mammogram, the screening test for breast cancer, can help detect breast cancer in its early stages. Therefore, education and awareness are paramount for early detection.

That is the key purpose behind Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a worldwide annual campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure. The campaign, also, offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer. In the past few decades, supporters have adopted the pink ribbon as an international symbol of breast cancer awareness.

Since 2010, Amaretto has been deeply involved in doing fundraising for various charities and from time to time has released Limited Edition Horses to help raise funds for worthy causes. For our very first fundraiser, the BCA Horses were released in an effort to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness. 100% of the proceeds were given directly to Making Strides for Breast Cancer (a campaign to benefit the American Cancer Society).

https://horse.amaretto.wiki/index.php?title=2010_Breast_Cancer_Awareness_Fundraiser_Horses

Our second BCA fundraiser, in 2011, saw the release of another set of Breast Cancer Awareness Horses. Again, 100% of the proceeds were given directly to Making Strides for Breast Cancer.

 https://horse.amaretto.wiki/index.php?title=2011_Breast_Cancer_Awareness_Fundraiser_Horses

These horses mark a very important part of Amaretto’s history and would be a great addition to any collection. They can still, occasionally, be found for sale by breeders in the marketplaces and at auctions.

Additionally, in October of 2013, as part of a set of Awareness eyes that were born onto the grid, we saw random drops of the Breast Cancer Awareness Eye. These eyes CAN be passed on and would look awesome on any of your pink projects!

Until next time…HAPPY BREEDING! 🎗️

Second Life Issues?

Hey guys! Whats up? Are you having a good Monday? I hope you are! Well i was trying to come up with something you guys might actually not already know all about! I was thinking about all the maintenance that has been going on lately and some important things to remember! This may be true with not only Amaretto products but any no copy objects you may have.

If you are experiencing issues with Second Life, you can check to see if there is a known problem with the Second Life grid. Go to http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ for the latest updates on outages and other known problems. This page also shows the calendar of planned server rolling restarts.

Occasionally during LL Maintenance sessions their servers cause things to happen to the Horses/K-9’s/Barnyard Birds that shouldn’t. Anything that does happen can be fixed but in order to minimize the chances of something happening here are some helpful tips to pass along:

Do not pick up or attempt to rez out Horses/K-9’s/Barnyard Birds/Ponies/Ducks or Bundles/Kennels/Nests/Baskets or any other products such as food or consumables as sometimes the asset server gets a hiccup and decides to eat them. If you must pickup or rez a orses/K-9’s/Barnyard Birds/Ponies/Ducks or Bundles/Kennels/Nests/Baskets please copy down its FULL API from the description field before doing anything, to make recovering the orses/K-9’s/Barnyard Birds/Ponies/Ducks or Bundles/Kennels/Nests/Baskets Possible

Do not attempt to send a Horse/K-9/Barnyard Bird/Bundle/Kennel/Nest to Horse Haven/Puppy Paradise/Bird Sanctuary as the maintenance can prevent that communication from going through.

Do not attempt to birth Bundles/Kennels/Nests as the maintenance can cause the Bundle/Kennel/Nest to not birth correctly.

Do not move Bundles/Kennels/Nests/Baskets from under the mother until the hover text says it is ready!

If one duplicates don’t rez out 10 more expecting a different result! If you rez any Amaretto animal and it starts duplicating stop rezzing! Dont make a bigger mess than you have to!

In most cases Amaretto can recover lost or missing breedables but you MUST have some information such as UUID or name.
If you need assistance just file a ticket!
Happy breeding everyone this is Ava over and out!
