What’s For Supper?

IM HUUUUNGRY!!

“My horse won’t eat! Why isn’t my horse gaining happiness/fervor?” And the ever popular “Why won’t my horses breed?”
I know this has been said in chat, and indeed in connections, but it bears repeating for many new breeders who may have missed it, or returning breeders who may have forgotten. Re-rezzing fixes a multitude of issues with Amaretto Breedables, from messed up sculpts to feeding and breeding problems. First a rerun of Ava’s Checklist for Amarettos not eating

  1. Are scripts turned on?
  2. Is the food set to All, Owner Only, or Group?
  3. Is the breedable set to to correct food, breedable or pet?
4 Is the food within range?
  4. Is my breedable frozen or duplicated?
  5. Is my food duplicated? (check for a uuid in the description field of the food)
  6. Did i rerezz the breedable?
  7. Is my breedable up to date?
  8. Is my breedable up to date?

Also, if your land is set to a certain group make sure the Amaretto and the food are set to same group. Another bit of info, for older breeders. If you have old food or salt that you are using for 4.0 and older version pets or babies, make sure it is rezzed far away from the new UUID food, as it confuses the scripts and can cause the breedables to stop eating.
If you have tried all these suggestions and nothing is helping you can file a ticket with Amaretto.

If you haven’t been online in a few days and come back to sick Amarettos with horses, dogs, chickens and ducks you can feed them well in 3 days or make them instantly well with healing kits, vaccinations and flu shots. Ponie Pals must be given noodle soup. These items are available wherever you buy food and can be gotten with points from the haven boards at the stores.

Happy Breeding and eat hearty!

A Day To Remember!

Happy Hump Day Breeders!

Armistice Day is commemorated on November 11th each year to mark the armistice signed between the Allies of World War I and Germany. Signed on the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” of 1918, for the cessation of hostilities on the western front of World War I. The Treaty of Versailles, signed six months later, acted as the lasting peace treaty between the nations.

As a day to remember the bravery of the men and women who fought during this war, the holiday is, also, known as Remembrance Day or Veterans Day.

Why Poppies?
The bright red poppy is regarded as a resilient flower, which managed to flourish despite fields being destroyed by war.

Amaretto Remembers!

On November 4, 2019, Amaretto released their first-ever Armistice Day Editions. Let’s take a look at those beautiful breedables.

Not only were they able to pass their lovely Poppy eyes, and collar for K-9s, but, they held an amazing hidden trait as well. Since these are not yet on the wiki, they are shared here to remind you of them.

Amaretto Horses – Head Piece Poppy

Amaretto K-9s – Dipped Ear Poppy

Amaretto Ducks – Batty Bosom Poppy

Amaretto Ponie Pals – Head Piece Poppy

These colorful traits would be a perfect addition to any project. Look for them today!

What Pretty Feet!

Where did we get all these pretty hooves? Well, when Amaretto introduced the Mother’s Day LE Rainbow Dapple on May 7 2012, the special trait they were hiding was Hoof Paint! The eyes and coats on these colorful LEs did not pass.

The Hoof Paint trait could be passed on and became the 14th trait. We started out with blueberry, dragonfruit, kiwi and pepper and added other colors later. In December of 2012 the Christmas LEs were hiding Winter Snowflake, Candy Cane, Festive Fruitcake, and Eggnog hoof paint. The 2014 Holiday LEs were hiding Rainbow Hoof and Black/White hoof paint. All of these Hoof Paints are passable traits.

The null trait came along as an “Invisible trait”, a placeholder. These placeholders were implemented as a way to allow the breeder to have a maximum trait horse but still look the way they want it to look.

Horses can have a few different colors in real life too. Not as many as Amaretto but they do have stripes, along with white, black, or brown.

With so many colors to choose from, breeders can combine them with lots of other matching traits to make interesting new horses. Happy Breeding!
