    Falabellas

What's smaller than small? A Falabella pony!. That's right, when these amazingly cute little horses are born they can range from 12 to 22 inches tall in total! That is smaller than a lot of pet dogs. The Falabella is a rare Argentinian breed of Miniature Horse that has been kept pure by breeding only pure Falabellas to other pure Falabellas for countless generations. It is known as the first and original Miniature Horse breed, yet the miniature size is secondary to their pure heritage.  In fact, it is so rare there are more Falabellas in SL than in RL

Falabellas are too small to be ridden by adults but they are sturdy little miniature horses. Here is one carrying a pack. not bad for a horse that rarely gets above 70 pounds!

They can come in a variety of colors, however, the most common Falabella horse colors are bay, chestnut, palomino, brown, black, and pintos. Pintaloosa and red or black spotted coat patterns are rare Falabella horse colors. The black spotted on white coat is my personal favorite.

When the version 3.2 Horse update came out on January 30, 2012 Amaretto added the Leopard-Spotted Falabella. These exciting new coats were hidden in new starters. The Black, Brown, Caramel and Red Leopard-Spotted Falabella are one set of many exciting possible Non-Starter coats that can come from breeding “Starter Horses”. While they aren't as tiny as the real Falabellas, they are still smaller than regular sized amaretto horses

You can have a chance at one of these exciting Non-Starter coated Leopard-Spotted Falabella by breeding any horse with a starter horse or by breeding together two starter horses.  And my favorite is STILL the black spotted one. LOL. Maybe if we beg enough they can make a miniature Spotted Falabella Ponie Pal!

These coats CAN be passed on. Happy Breeding!
