The Jack Russell Terrier, sometimes called a JRT, is a small terrier that has its origins in fox hunting in England. It is principally white-bodied and smooth, rough or broken-coated and can be any color. Jack Russells are an energetic breed that rely on a high level of exercise and stimulation. They are relatively free from any serious health complaints. Originating from dogs bred and used by the Rev. John Russell in the early 19th century, from whom the breed takes its name, the Jack Russell has similar origins to the modern Fox Terrier. Jack Russells have appeared many times in film, television, and print – with several historical dogs of note.
Nipper was a dog born in 1884 who was thought to be a dog of the Jack Russell terrier type. He was the inspiration for the painting Dog looking at and listening to a Phonograph, later renamed His Master's Voice. The painting was used by a variety of music related companies.
Moose and his son Enzo played the role of Eddie on the long-running American TV sitcom Frasier. Moose and Enzo also starred as Skip in the 2000 film My Dog Skip.

When Amaretto K-9s were released in 2011, one of the original starters were Full Mask Jack Russell Terriers. They came in four colors, black, brown, red, and tan. The coats CAN be passed on.
Coming from the Full Mask Jack Russells, we got the Half Mask Jack Russells, which also came in black, brown, red, and tan. As you can see, they only had markings on one side of the face and are considered a trait coat. They can also be passed.
Both of these breeds have since been retired, but can still be bred from existing lines. However, you wont see them from new starters, Paradise dogs, or SEs that have come out since they retired. If you have a Jack Russell Terrier in real life you know how energetic they can be. Enjoy your K-9s, and Happy Breeding
