So, let's talk about happiness. We all know our breedables have to be a certain percent of happiness to gain the ability to breed, but how do they get that way? And does it have to remain that percentage?

With horses we have several options. First off is salt, which gives them a happiness boost over time. You can also ride them once they are 7 days old to raise happiness. It goes up a bit faster, but also uses energy faster. Next is the cocktail, which is a once a day use item giving them a 5% boost in energy happiness and fervor and a decrease in hunger of 5%. Then we have sugar cubes, which are also a once a day item boosting happiness by 15%. Once a horse's happiness is at least 75% it can gain fervor. Once fervor is at 100% the horse does not have to continue to be at 75% happiness.

For dogs they have the chew toy. Much like in real life it makes a dog happy to have one over time. The mega woof vitamins are like the cocktail increasing energy, happiness and heat by 5% and decreasing hunger and thirst by 5%, also a once a day item. The rawhide lollipop gives a 15% boost once a day. You can also increase the happiness by holding your dog or using the hud to play fetch. Once the dog is at 100% heat, happiness does not have to remain high.

Chickens and ducks different names for happiness and fervor or heat. They  have to be at least 85% vivacity to gain vigor and breed. To attain this you can hold them, or give them orange rinds for chickens, and lettuce for ducks.  Poultry Glow provides a 5% increase to Stamina, a 5% increase to Vivacity and a 5% increase to Vigor. This consumable can only be used on a Barnyard Bird once in a 24 hour period.  Vivacity Corns will increase one of your birds vivacity by 15%, once a day.  Both of these two can be used on chickens AND ducks. Both chickens and ducks DO have to remain at least 85% vivacity in order to breed.

Finally we have ponies. Ponie Pal terms are also a bit different. Their happiness is called bliss and fervor is called moxie. The gummy bear works like salt and gives a 20% boost in bliss over time. The rainbow cake surprise, a one time use stat booster will increase bliss and moxie by 10%, the zing by 15% and decrease grub by 10%, once a day. The great thing about ponies is you can hold or walk them to raise bliss before they are adults. It's cute to line up 4 of them at a time on my arm and walk around.
