Dear Breeders,
On October 15, 2022, at Gonzaga Valley a very special Patron Auction took place. One of our own breeders Sixx Street was displaced by Typhoon Noru. His home was completely flooded, and his family is now living in a tent. Sixx talked to me on Thursday and told me of his situation. He owns a sim and breeds many Amaretto horses, but that he had to sell them all to take care of his family in this desperate situation. I told him to put up 30 horses at Gonzaga and we would hold an impromptu patron auction for him on Saturday at 8 am. Miss Ava allowed me to announce the special auction after her elite auction. The turn out for Sixx’s auction was amazing! We were able to raise 107K to help him and his family. We had many generous donations by Roland, Rose Hodgson, Alvaro, Muggins, Misty & Allegra Nova. We set out a tip jar for Sixx in the Gonzaga Valley auction house and many showed their linden love and donated as well. The tip jar is still at Gonzaga for those who are reading this want to show Sixx some linden love.
To hear the emotion in Sixx’s voice as he thanked everyone for their generous support was very humbling. I was very proud of my Amaretto Family today. Your sense of community was incredible. You rallied around one of your fellow breeders and showered Sixx and his family with love, kindness, and strong sense of unity. I personally want to thank each and every one of you that came to the auction today. (The list is long but you know who you are 😊) You are the reason that makes Amaretto a family!
Sixx, we pray that soon you will be able to fix your home and move your family back in. That you stay safe and healthy. Keep in touch with us when you can get internet. All the best wishes from your Amaretto Family.
