    Protect Your Horses!!

There are many ways you can protect your horses and your Linden. In the end, it is up to you as an individual and breeder to be aware that not everyone in Second Life has the best intentions and some will do anything to try to steal your property or Lindens right in front of you.  So we will go through a few things you can do to keep yourself safe.

    So let's start.

    Amaretto Products

First thing you can do is always make sure you are buying from the official Amaretto accounts, sometimes someone will try to make it look official to trick you but it only takes a second to right-click and click on Edit to see who owns something.  So when buying official products from who you think is an official Amaretto avatar be safe and take the extra time.

    The official avatars are:

    JJ Cerna - Amaretto Horses

    Ancient Biscuit - Amaretto K-9s

Mazelina Menna - Amaretto Barnyard Birds (Chickens & Ducks)

    PlayfulPonie Resident- Amaretto Ponie Pals

Looking at these it important to note that they are all partnered with each other also so this is something to watch for.

    Free Food Scams

Sometimes you will receive a gift called "Free Breedable Food" from what appears to be an Amaretto staff members.  These are NOT from Amaretto since they will announce if they are giving anything away and give a location of where to go pick it up.  Do not open this "gift" or give it any permissions since that will drain your Lindens.  You can rez it and edit the object to see how sent it to you.  If it's not from an avatar listed above it's probably a scam.

    Invisible Prims

Yes, people can be evil and sneaky.  Sometimes they try this by placing invisible prims over top of Amaretto Products so you believe you’re buying from Amaretto Breedables when in fact you are giving your money away to a thief.  Again, take the 5 seconds and right click the prim and make sure you know who you are buying from.

    Copybotted Items

We all know the saying that is it seems to good to be true, it probably is.  You won't be able to find a OOAK for 10k (unless you are extremely lucky) but even then take a few extra seconds and check for the name of who created it.  These will again the one of the four names listed above.

Thieves are very sneaky and good and these animals will look like the real things, however they will not act like the real thing and in the end you are left without the animal and the money since Amaretto will not replace a copybotted animal with the real version so protect yourself and do your research first.

In the end, go by the other old saying:

    BUYERS BEWARE

Although that should be Buyers be Aware and make good decisions based on researching what you are buying and what you are giving permissions to so that you can keep yourself and your animals safe.
