    Steer Horned Horses

We all know in real life horses do not have horns....or do they? Unicorn stories have been around for centuries, horses with a single horn on their head, mythical creatures that only appeared by magic. The unicorn appeared in early Mesopotamian artworks, and it also was referred to in the ancient myths of India and China. In heraldry, a unicorn is often depicted as a horse with a goat's cloven hooves and beard, a lion's tail, and a slender, spiral horn on its forehead. Many tapestries were created depicting unicorns being subdued by a fair maiden, or hunted by men and dogs. People believed a simple touch of a unicorn' horn could neutralize poisons and removes evil influence. As for the real world, in early 1985, Ringling Brothers Circus promoted and toured with a "living unicorn" named Lancelot. Although actually a cross-bred goat with surgically altered horn buds that grew together, technically Lancelot was a unicorn, an animal with one horn.

There has also been fantasy stories and artwork depicting horses with TWO horns, like these.

On April 27, 2019 Amaretto gave us their own particular twist on a horned horse with the 6.01 update and the Steer Horn. Thats right, TWO horns on horses. These exciting new horns were hidden in new starters. The Steer Horns are one of many exciting possible Non-Starter traits that could  come from breeding the 6.01 “Starter Horses”.

On July 12, 2019 Amaretto held the Amaretto Country Fair and and unveiled the fifth Horse in the line of Seven Heavenly Virtues and Seven Deadly Sins Horses! Hiding in these OOAK was the Indolence and Intensity Horns!

On October 17th until November 2nd 2020 Halloween Enchanter Animals! These horses were hiding Bloody Coal, Bloody Bone, and Bloody Ivory steer horns!

All these Steer Horn CAN be passed on, and can be combined with many other traits to make special horses.

Amaretto also decided to share these great Steer Horns with the Ponie Pals. On May 25, 2020 they released Version 2.0, and hidden in the 2.0 update was the Steer Horn trait for Ponie Pals!

The Steer Horn trait came from breeding “Starter Style” together or one starter with any other Ponie.

Again, these Steer Horns CAN be passed on to make some adorable double horned Ponies.

    Happy Breeding!
