    The Candy Cane Legacy

It all began in 2010 with the debut of Amaretto’s first Limited Edition set, which included the iconic Candy Cane Horse. Since then, the Candy Cane series has expanded into one of the most extensive trait families in the Amaretto collection.

Over the years, Amaretto has introduced a variety of candy cane-inspired traits, including eyes, wild hair, saddles, blankets, branding, hooves, socks, rein, bridle, ear tips, and wings. There’s even a peppermint horn—though technically not part of the Candy Cane family, its resemblance to the theme makes it a popular addition.

Some traits, however, are mutually exclusive. For instance, horses cannot feature both socks and hooves or a saddle and blanket simultaneously; only one trait from each category can be displayed. Despite these limitations, the Candy Cane traits remain a beloved and enduring favorite among breeders, embodying the festive and creative spirit of Amaretto’s vibrant community.
