    The Majestic Peacock

The peacock has been depicted in art since the ancient times and is seen as a symbol of beauty, rebirth and wealth, as well as of sinful pride. The birds originally came from India over 4,000 years ago where they were symbols of royalty and from the 1800s, they began to populate Western visual and decorative culture.
Peafowl are amazing foragers. Allowed to roam, they will eat an enormous amount of ticks, termites, spiders, locusts, and other insect pests. They also eat snakes and mice, or at least discourage them from hanging around. While both genders are known as peacocks, the females are actually peahens.
A group of peacocks is called an "ostentation" or a "muster". Anyone who has owned one of these birds will know that they sound like someone calling for help when they cry out lol.

On July 14, 2023 Amaretto hosted the OOAK Auction at the Amaretto Summer Carnival!
There were several different OOAKS available to bid on and purchase! The 2023 OOAK Greek Goddess - Hera Horse went home with Morandi Gabardini! Hiding in the OOAK was the Peacock coat!

Another Peacock trait are the Albino Peacock Eyes which came from breeding 2 full siblings.

Kerri Imari created the Heras Reflection 11 coat, basicly a trend horse that LOOKS like the peacock coat, complete with peacock aura by combining the razzmatazz coat with coat and hair hue teal.

Amaretto K9s also have a version of the peacock coat. Beginning January 5th the Crazed Coats were introduced to the Amaretto Community. Each month you had a chance at getting a Crazed by breeding together 2 K-9s that had the coat they announced. From February 5, 2015 until March 5, 2015 you could breed any color Beagle K-9s together for the chance of getting one of the Crazed Coat Beagle. No other qualifications necessary, just has to be 2 Beagle's. One of the Crazed Beagle ocats was the Peacock Beagle.
The Crazed Coat Beagle DOES have the ability to pass.

The Chevron Collars are one set of many exciting possible Non-Starter collars that can come from breeding Starter Coats and were released with the 2.0 K-9 update. One of those includes the peacock collar.

By the way, it is considered good luck to have peacock feathers in your house. Happy Breeding!
