    Those Wacky Chickens

Let's talk about those Wacky Chickens, specially their Wacky Wattles.  First, what is a wattle?  Wattles are fleshy flaps of skin that hang either side of your hen's throat starting just behind the beak, we tend to notice them more in cockerels where they are used as an ornament for courting potential mates.  So in real life birds they look like this:

Amaretto took this idea and brought it into Second Life in February 2019 when they released the 2019 Valentines Edition Barnyard Birds.  This introduced the Chickens 13th trait, the Wacky Wattle.  The first two available were the:

On July 4th, 2019 there was a surprise random drop of a new Wacky Wattle:

The next Collectors Editions to have a Wacky Wattle were the 2020 Celestial Crystal Edition Animals, which brought us there:

The next Wacky Wattles were hiding in the 2020 OOAK Seven Deadly Sins and Seven Heavenly Virtues Birds:

After that Amaretto went a little Wacky themselves when we did the monthly breedings for Coveted animals, every single Coveted Bird had a hidden Wacky Wattle if you breed the Coveted.

As Ava says about the Wild Hairs on horses, these Wacky Wattles can be the cherry on top of a fantastic designer bird so why not get out there today and see what you imagination and these Wacky Wattles can add to your designer birds.

You can see these Wacky Wattles and more Barnyard Bird traits on the Wiki!!
